	 | Not Ranked  :   0 score Already on it lol Decided that the DISI isn't worth it and swapped on a 2.3 head on to the DISI block Miata ECU plugs into the Rx8 harness, i think ill need to swap some pins around Coles notes, do it in an NC miata, then realize its not worth it and just bolt on a turbo. In an rx8 you basically need the front clip from an NC miata, the nc miata subframe bolts into the Rx8 arms swap over. Nc transmission with S2 rx8 tailshaft pretty much bolts into the rx8 and no custom driveshaft/ppf are needed. you can swap over the Full cooling system from an NC into the 8 with minimal effort use a Miata ecu and cluster, the cluster nearly bolts into the stock rx8 dash. miata ecu and a Port injection imo are better for making power ECUtek is pretty slick.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked  :   0 score Awesome! Well, i already have the Mazdaspeed3 engine, so I'm going to stick with that. Also I'd like to keep the versatility of the Versatuner, so I'll use a speed3 ECU. How deep did you have to cut the cabin wall to make room for the DISI block + transmission?

	 | Not Ranked  :   0 score it's pretty far back into the cabin, just so i could get the shifter in the oem location and line up the Miata mounts on the Miata subframe. ill say that the Hvac wont fit back in the car Speed3 Ecus requires speed3 Cluster, speed3 cluster doesnt fit in the rx8 dash Miata uses ECUtek which is far nicer than Versatuner.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked  :   0 score Ok, so my dream of having a 100% streetable RX8 with a DISI-T engine kind of shattered... No HVAC means no streetability and I can't register it either. For me the only good thing now is that I didn't start the build and find all these things out on the way, but with quite a bit of time ahead of starting any investment into a chassis, labour, and so on. Well, now I have an expensive 2.3.DISI-T engine in a mint condition with uprated parts and no chassis to put it to work into. And I'm not willing to build another speed3 or even 6... dang...

you could also try an ecoboost mustang trans to get the shifter where you want it and push the motor further forward
