Default 1.6L Fiesta ST E85?

So seriously considering picking up a Fiesta ST next month if can find one. Would be my DD. Only modification I would be doing to it would be to pick up an AP (when available) and tune it on a 50/50 mix of E85 and gasoline.

I assume the car being DI would be similar to the Focus ST tuning wise. What are people's opinions on throwing ethanol at these fuel systems and pumps? Is it as easy as it was in the MS3?

I tried searching some of the Ford forums and it was terrible to say the least. There were tuners and vendors saying E85 made less power and was garbage fuel. Seems like there are not many very knowledgeable people in the ecoboost community unfortunately.

I am chomping at the bit to drive one. I was told they would be arriving the middle of September by a local dealer but who knows. Every review I have read or watched has said this car is fantastic. I drive a 2006 Saab as my DD now and while its a solid car I can't stand driving such a boring car. Hopefully the Fiesta is as good as everyone is hyping it to be.

No. Doesnt mean ethanol isnt an option with proper tuning though.

COBB's SEMA car will be a Fiesta ST.

I do like the car, it's just that the 2.0 in the ST has more potential and the Fiesta also has a beam rear suspension. If you're planning on modifying the car, the ST is worth the extra couple of grand.

The engine is only one part of the equation though. The Fiesta is a good 500 pounds lighter, has a much higher MPG, and according to the reviews I have read has a better driving dynamic than the Focus ST. I would think 230whp-250whp would be all this car would ever need.

A well sorted beam suspension is nothing to scoff at.
Look at the cobalt ss.

The lighter weight is a great advantage. Definitely worth looking at both STs - in a sense although less useful the Fiesta is probably the more special of the 2.

+1 twist beam can be set up to perform very close to IRS, just can't be modded as easily. Light years ahead of solid axle.
