Default how NOT to install a TWM Short throw shifter

OK..I am opening up a pandoras box of laughter here, so get ready to chuckle.
SO, I did the standard tear down of the center console and dash in order to access the shifter mechanism. First, I proceeded to install the new bushings. HINT: do whatever necessary to prevent the bolts, washers, and bushings from falling into the upolstered abyss beneath the floor pan and carpet. The bushings and washers are NOT magnetic so in the even that you DO manage to drop them under the carpet, figure on 20 minutes to dig them out (if you're lucky). Once the bushings were finally installed, I did a final check to make sure the base was properly secured to the floor. NOW, lets move on to the short throw shifter! (When you get it in the mail and open it up, KEEP the paper clips that came in the bushing bag, you'll need them) Why? for the damn tabs that have to be individually pushed out of its lock. Simply follow the detailed instructions to safely remove the stock shifter from its cradle. ATTENTION: The stock shifter is NOT black like the TWM short throw shifter!!!!!!!
How do I know? Just keep reading please.
Remove the gray cup from the bottom of the stocker, and put it aside. WAYYYYY ASIDE...
Locate your brand new, shiny BLACK TWM short throw shifter and apply a gererous amount of white lithium grease to the main pivot ball and the ball on the side of your BLACK TWM shifter. Follow the steps in reverse order to install your new BLACK TWM shifter. Once you replace your console and dash, work the shifter thru the gears to make sure there are no shags and that it flows freely. HOWEVER, if you notice a better feel in the shifting (from the bushings) but just cant seem to see or feel the advantages of the new shiny BLACK TWM short throw shifter, its probably because you greased up the F*CKING STOCK SHIFTER AND RE-INSTALLED IT!!!!!!
Well, Im going back out to the garage now. I have a shiny BLACK TWM short throw shifter to install.
