I broke 2 T40 sockets and have no car to go buy another one. One of which was a craftsman. I have to get to sears to replace it, so I am going to have to stop untill tomorrow. But I did find my misfire problem. Cylinder 3 has a seal leak and is very dirty like aaronc's.

I cant get the 2nd or 4th torx screw off. If I pull on the fuel rail I know they will come off the injectors but is that bad. Is there a clip holding the injector on the rail or is this ok.

SPD6TUNER,

I am also replacing my injector seals right now, you need at T41 (not a T40) for your torx soquet to take off the little brackets that hold the injectors in place. I twisted two off my T41 torx soquets because they were a cheapy kind but I'm buying a good one tomorrow.

I was using craftsman. Can they get any more solid than that?

I think I am just going to cut a slot into mine and remove them with a flathead screwdriver cause mine are already stripped so I have no other choice. Then I will go to mazda and pick up new ones.

you aren't going to see shit b/c the pics are all removed.

to get to the seals, follow the various "how to" threads. like this one:
How-To: Injector & Intake Manifold Removal
How To CPE Injector Seals + Studs + EGR Delete

you could also follow JBR's guide to do the TIG. this will get you 90% of the way there.
http://jamesbaroneracing.com/support...structions.pdf

and if you're doing the injector seals, you might as well clean the valves as well. i want you to feel like you contributed, though, so i won't link all the how tos for that.
