Ok finally got it, after a long out of town weekend etc.

But from what I can tell from a quick look grabbing it on my lunch break its feels pretty solid is you would expect (and hope) so I have no doubt this will work fine. Hope to get it on my car this weekend.

Ok installed today took basically an hour was very easy. No difference in Vibrations when i started it up from stock. I use to have a deflated stock mount so take some of my comparisons with a grain of salt.

Still plenty of engine movement but this is really just a stock mount, but it still felt pretty good and solid. I would say like others did use this as a cheap replacement for a stock mount dont expect any huge differences.

Added pics the mount is a good bit smaller at first I was worried it wouldn't fit but it did perfectly. Weight savings yo.

Did mine today too. Thought the same thing about the mount size too but after getting it in it fit perfectly. Hoping it holds up ok but based on others here that have used it I'm guessing it'll be good to go. Required moving the ground wire which it looks like you did as well. Overall I'm pleased so far, drove it about 5 miles after install and it seemed much more solid, especially in 1st thru 3rd gear, than my completely busted stocker.

I got one of these Roca mounts and I can't agree that they are a perfect fit. The bolt holes seem to be about 1/4" closer together than the stock mount (the distance from the engine side holes to the body side holes). I would have to pull the base out that 1/4" inch to be able to get the body side bolts in, which will put some pre-stress in the rubber. Anyone else notice this?

I saw before I purchased this that the MS3 was not listed for fitment, just the regular 3. It certainly isn't as beefy as the original mount, either.

It's meant for the standard 3 motor the 2.3 has the same fittings for our engines. Its not gonna be as beefy as other aftermarket options but its a good stock replacement as far as I can tell.

Its really for those of us that have a near stock car that aren't looking to beat hard launch the car. I plan on replacing mine next year with one of the other options but for a quick budget purchase when your PMM shits on you it does the job.

I myself didnt have any fitment issues it slipped right in and I just had to move the engine back forth to line up the holes a little before I torqued them in.

I installed the ROCAR mount today on my 2008.5 MS3 that had a leaky hydraulic OEM PMM and luckily could tell no difference in NVH. I don't understand the point of the grounding strap; To reinstall it as designed would require tapping the new aluminum mount which I was about to do then realized it was pointless. One end of the strap is grounded to the car's frame and the other end is grounded to the OEM aluminum block that "rides" on the rubber part but then that part is already grounded to the motor with steel bolts so what is the point of the strap? Weird. BTW, I orginally ordered it from the manufacturer this past weekend but then received the dreaded PayPal refund Monday telling me it was out of stock so I ordered from here on eBay and luckily they shipped free Priority so had I the part coast to coast in 2 days.

The strap connects a ground from the chassis to the engine. Forget about the rubber being there because the strap is basically bolted to a giant ring that is bolted to the engine. I'm guessing the reason it is bolted to the mount and not the engine is for factory vehicle assembly (easier to install instead of having to stop and connect one ground strap directly to the engine). I reattached the ground strap from the mount to the timing cover.

Everyone's reaction to it feeling like stock (one said it was even softer) and the fact that they all, literally, look like stock mounts should be obvious. These mounts all seem to be stock mounts. Whether they are solidly filled with rubber or not, who knows. Has anyone from years past taken one of these off and actually dissected it?

I took a chance and ordered eagle bhp 3838h from Amazon, $35. Fits perfectly and looks like this mount. Much cheaper than a 200 plus dollar aftermarket for those not needing a top of the line aftermarket pmm.

Is the Eagle one fluid filled or rubber? How has it been holding up?

It has to do with the fact the OEM mounts are fluid filled, which is supposed to reduce nvh. So by removing the fluid that reduces the nvh, it is worth noting that nvh does not suffer. Seems obvious to me.
