(Thread Starter) | Neutral : -1 score Ok I know the RMM is needed. I will be doing CPE 65 duro. But I cannot get the answer if side motor mounts on this car are actually bad? Are they NECESSARY? will they break at the track? Or should they be fine till say..55k miles? Im at 25k. Also..is the transmission mount NECESSARY? will it break at the track? If so..which Im almost sure the tranny mount IS needed..which will cause the least vibrations? And I hear the kicker mount is really NOT necessary...it doesnt do much for both wheel hop or vibrations..I hear all it does is add vibrations..and its just an 'IN CASE' mod. These are the only mods ever going to be on car: sri/tip, bov, full exhaust, manifold, coilovers, fmic, tune, NGK iridium spark plugs, and shifter accessories. So really, I dont think we should hit anymore than 330whp. So what is NECESSARY and what is NOT? Please dont make this bias just because you have bought either or. Even if you own side mounts...do you think they were REALLY necessary? THANKS GUYS! Trying to save money on things that arent really neeeded haha so I can get the fmic sooner hee

| Not Ranked : 0 score nothing is NECESSARY. you need to learn to search better, there's a bunch of threads on all of these things. can you drop your tranny? yes. can your side motor mount explode? yes. there have been more dropped transmissions than side motor mounts exploding/breaking, but i haven't seen either in awhile. both are helpful. i didn't have either for ~50k miles. i don't know where you're getting your information, but all the reviews on the kicker mount on here are positive, including mine. but it is NOT NECESSARY either. and... you probably want to get a fuel pump if you're doing all of that. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score i have the trz mounts (rear & tranny) and top speed passenger mount. long fail story, but i had to put my stock rear mount back in for a week and didn't notice any difference. that being said, i recommend the tranny mount if you only get one. it seems to lock the motor down the best. it's the hardest to access / replace so i can see why folks shy away.

| Not Ranked : 0 score rmm/tranny mount-necessary for track fuel pump-necessary eventually-stock degrades over time the dh will be able to show you when its going bad dashawk-necessary now kicker mount-not necessary but will greatly help on the track since you suck at searching-look at cxracing fmic on ebay never seen any complaints and their kit is around 500 shipped.

Fuel pump sucks? damnit..what is a dh? is it that dashhawk you speak of? I will google this.. I will get rmm and tranny mount before hitting the track. Side mounts/kicker can wait till like 60k miles Im sure.

| Not Ranked : 0 score 1) rear mm, necessary for sure , the stocker sucks bad, CP-E recommended unless if you like vibrations 2) PTP kicker, used with an upgraded rear MM, gets rid of all wheel hop, when adjusted correctly very little added vibs, stiffens up the suspension 100% better, I have vibs and love my kicker - now I never have wheel hop

| Not Ranked : 0 score haha it just reads stuff... yeah, important stuff. you're probably more likely to blow up your engine than dropping your tranny. but you're right, you can use the cobb ap, but you can only see one thing at a time. i think plenty of people track without side and transmission mounts. most of the people i've talked to that have been to track days and have talked to the other ms3 owners all have been stock. i don't think freeflyfreak has upgraded mounts and he's tracked his car a few times. so i answered your question, they aren't NECESSARY. people autox all day on stock mounts. sure, everything is "recommended", just like track brake pads, stainless steel lines, etc. which you didn't even mention. |

haha jk. THANKS! Yeah..cobb ap I believe is just a better all around than dashhawk...DH is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced..It may read stuff..but thats all it does...may be important if you are running 450whp or more..but that will never be the case here haha.

| Not Ranked : 0 score i fail for not having a dashhawk yet, but ive done several runs with a friends to make sure things are ok.. but what if you get a shitty tank of gas and you want to race your friends buick regal gs and you start getting some knock and you're not running meth yet because its recommended for 400hp++ usually and your engine goes pop because you didn't know you were knocking at wot and it was hot outside.... whooops

| Not Ranked : 0 score seriously, plus that janky connector is going to break off the 3rd time you try this. I ran an entire season on stock mounts from the car at 100miles(when i got from the dealer) to 8000miles(end of season) did about 20 pulls at the track and drive aggressively 50% of the time on the street. I also am having trans problems which i personally think are related to the shitty mounts and the amount of movement the powertrain is allowed to make. Along with the crappy cable shifter we have I have destroyed 3rd. Once the tranny gets rebuilt all 4 mounts going on cuz im tired of driving like a grama now. OP: yes the dh only monitors things, but this car needs to be monitored. Its not like your honda. Alot of mods you will get have breakin periods which require this monitoring too, including the fp you want to get. The ap screen has a tendency to burn images into itself making it worthless. The ap screen is smaller than the dh and you can only monitor one pid at a time.

| Not Ranked : 0 score sorry, but you should listen to people on here. like it or not, we have had our cars for much longer than you and know the issues. since you don't listen anyway or express any interest in knowing why, i'm not giving you any more advice. that's why i said your wife's car is up for some fail. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score ^^ because all you have to say is what I can predict you saying...its nothing but bs to back up your 200 dollar purchase which I believe is worthless unless you are going to have that power.. You will say things like..'you can monitor your fuel..a/f..bla bla bla because you need to check up on stuff like that because our cars have bla bla bla..' Sorry..but monitoring without the hp is useless..so the 200 is useless..hey but it looks cool on your dash huh? :p haha Hey...Ive had my dick longer than you...so should I tell YOU the issues and how to use it? Yeah..excuse me...but you saying that type of comment made YOU look like fail..

| Not Ranked : 0 score Can't wait for your fuel pressure on your stock pump to dip, causing lean afrs and massive kr. Which, with a properly setup dashhawk, would be flashing all kinds of alarms while youre doing your virtual quarter mile on your ap. Since you know what this car does and does not need why are you here asking questions... yea and what happens when you get pick pocketed. not only are you out your wallet or whatever else, theres 1100 bucks or so gone... now u gotta call cobb, buy a new ap, send them your ECU, AND pay 300 to have them unmarry the old and remarry the new. OP you are a tard |

| Not Ranked : 0 score lolz by the time you hit fuel cut, youll be missing a piston. this is a DI car, not a POS prelude. Fuel must be injected at 1600+psi and even if you dip to 900, you will not experience fuel cut, but you will risk blowing the motor.... the wallet comment was in reference to you walking around with the ap in your pocket dont come into this forum and try to preach about how much you think you know about cars and modding, ABSOLUTELY none of it applies to this platform. get your wife in here, maybe we can talk sense into her |
