(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score sorry cause I'm sure this has been asked and gone over but I'm wanting new spark plugs or wondering if I should upgrade. I have intake, tip, bpv, dp and hypertech tune and soon cbe. first question is should I upgrade plugs and second is which plugs should I go with if I should upgrade?

| Not Ranked : 0 score First acquire donate mod. Then, fuel pump internals. You NEED these if you are running a down pipe. THEN buy 1 step colder spark plugs. You of course would have been able to find ALL of this information if you had searched for it.

^^ this. Oh and fuel pump is essential with DP. I wouldn't risk it since you don't seem to have a datalogging device. Your fuel psi might be taking a shit everytime you WOT, and you wouldn't even know it till it blows.

nothing to disagree with. I didn't say someone elses car would or would not react the same way, but I have tons of logs proving that there was no change on my car. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Of course... I guess really what we should be telling OP is that if he's seeing knock go for the plugs.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Go with the IVT22's. They are cheap, and you need to replace sparks sooner or later anyway. can't hurt

| Not Ranked : 0 score IVT22s and my stock FP with all my mods has been fine. Doesn't dip under WOT and I heavily race my wagon lol. All depends. Get some way of monitoring FP

| Not Ranked : 0 score op, you should have fucking searched. i was looking for the same info a month ago and found a few threads dense with info on this topic. don't be so lazy in the future. also, since you've gotten a good deal of info from these people, consider donating. and, since i am, at heart, a nice guy, get the itv22 or another one step colder plug. there is a sticky of the many one step colder plugs available, IF YOU SEARCH. the itv22 are good because their gap is close to what we need. i've been running mine for close to 30k with no fouling issues and i only have an intake and ht. and get yourself a fuel pump. especially, as has been said, since you are not monitoring and have a dp. get an ultragauge to monitor fp if you are cheap like me.

| Not Ranked : 0 score 1. HPFP internals are not absolutely required for a DP, but most cars seem to need them at about that point in the molding process. I'm running an intake/TIP and a full 3" catless TBE and I don't get fuel pressure below 1600 PSI. It all depends on the boost levels and the tune. I am fuel limited at this point though. 2. Only go with colder plugs when you are seeing consistent knock at WOT, and the plugs look hot when you read them. I went ITV-22's after getting bad misfired at WOT. Tapadatass
