Default Traction Control light coming on

I went and finally did a track day with my 6 saturday. I had a strange incident with the traction control light though. I ended up in a four wheel slide at around 80mph with the DSC off. A few seconds after I get the car straightened out the traction control light came on. I pulled off the track shut the car off twice and the light was still on. I then drove over to the pits and half way over the light finally shuts off. Any ideas why the light came on and then took so long to go off? I could see it coming on if I had the DSC engaged but with it off not sure why it lit up.

Nah, the slide triggered the light because the wheels were turning at different speeds and the sensors reported it to the ECU. No problem as the light will go out after a few feet of rolling all together. All is normal, even with DSC OFF, the TCS is still "ON", but "disengaged". The light will flash if the TCS is "engaged" and the wheels slip.

It was the car with squiggly lines that lit up. I think Forzda post answered it. Just one more question- When the light is illuminated is anything effected? Does it cut engine power or effect the AWD in anyway or maybe even ABS?
