(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I bought a GTX3071R from 06speed6 about a month ago and installed it. Was a huge pain in the ass! I have the stock downpipe for now and the the stock intercooler. Had to get a new turbo because the old one smoked some much it was embarrassing. Intercooler and downpipe are next. I have an AP, catch can, 3 inch TIP, intake, egr delete, and my fuel pump holds great pressure till 1700. 06speed6 has already ported the exhast housing on the turbo, and I checked to make sure it sealed properly. Now the problem. I am only getting 10 psi of boost, no matter what tune I have used. I hooked the wastegate vacuum line up to the boost tube right above the turbo and ran a T in that to the ebcs. I bought a new grimmspeed ebcs and am running it in 2 port mode for right now till i figure out the issue. I have done a boost leak check and it came back fine, and I have used all new vacuum lines to eliminate that problem. The car runs great up till 10 psi, but after then it just stays at 10, as where before I was boosting to 20 and tapering to 17.5 consistently. I am out of ideas and I have searched the forums to find any answer and tried what I can. I do have an AP and can do logs if anyone thinks it would be helpful. Thanks for any help, and if I have missed anything, I will not take offense to me being an idiot. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score You seem to have the exact same problems mentioned in the thread linked below. In that thread its a BNR S3 which is similar to your turbo. You will need to restrict the flow to your EBC (if you are using that). The grimmspeed in 2 port mode (I've read) works the same as the stock EBC. You should run the grimmspeed in 3 port mode and you wouldn't need to restrict the flow with welding tips. Thats what I plan to do when I go S3. Boost Problems. Off Topic Laugh: Theres seriously a Gainesville, GA? Isn't the Gainesville in FL enough?

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah, there is a Gainesville, Ga, it is about 40 miles north of Atlanta. Your not missing much, but I will take anything over any town that has the FL Gators. lol. Thanks for the tip, I will try it today, I am eventually going to run the Grimmspeed in 3 port mode once I get this issue resolved, I just want to make sure it is not the WGA. |
