Default Buying used forge bpv v1, what do

Hey guys, so i might be picking up a used forge bpv v1 and had a few questions.

Is buying a used bpv a bad idea?
what would i have to do to the bpv before i install it(making sure it will work fine)
and what do i have to do post install ( do i need a dyno tune or is there a cobb map?)

i am currently running stage 1+sf but havnt been hitting anywhere near target boost (17psi), im at around 12-14psi. Have checked for leaks and cant seem to find anything so wanted to try switching out the bpv to see.

il toss a 3rd pull up in case anyone can figure out what else could be wrong.

Thanks!

Why? If you are on stock K04 a test published years ago by Grassroots Motorsports Magazine demonstrated that the stock bpv holds boost better that the Forge bpv. You are taking a step backward unless you know for sure the stocker is leaking.

Have you tested the stock bpv? There are threads here on how to do that.

Like he ^ said. Unless its leaking don't bother. Spend your money on parts that increase performance. Not ricer sounds.

Check the lines on your EBCS. Make sure the plastic nipple on the EBCS isn't cracked. Check the wastegate actuator arm as well. And of course a proper boost leak test.
