Default Byebye ATP Fail

So, i'm getting rid of the ATP housing on my turbo. swapped it out today with this:

T3 Flange
3" Vband Exit
.82 A/R

Will be using this with a RaceRoots T3 exhaust manifold, RaceRoots 3" Vband Downpipe, and Tial 44mm Wastegate

I'm going to adapt my cobb fmic. It shouldnt sit so much lower that i cant come up with something.

The difference is the size of the housing, not just switching from IWG to EWG. The ATP 3071r has a .50a/r turbine housing, which is TINY. Its no wonder the torque falls off even on the BT cars.

Also, now there wont be a "chamber" behind the turbine causing turbulance.

Theoretically, this will spool a tad later, but hold power harder/longer.

Realistically, I dont know how much difference it will actually make. But having a Vband downpipe will make my life so much easier.

if you weld the ATP iwg shit and port the fuck out of it (kind of like PTP did on the new SST's) will u be able to see a lil more increase?

where you get the turbine?....i have the same ATP gt3071 as u just with the anti surge compressor inlet.....not installed yet...

maybe I should go your route before my install...already getting your IM. +) Ty

i assume our ATP housing and turbine is worth shit so if I go your route I would be left with a nice dirty paper weight.

how much is the RR v band DP?.....fuck there goes more money!

don't even bother with the ATP setup man, if you're going to do it do it right the first time. it will cost you much more to scrap the old and start over

Yea, a "proper" 3071r costs less than the "bolt-on" version anyways.

I think it retails on the ATP site for $1400 or so, and the "bolt-on" version is $1900
