(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah how much would we be looking at if we did a rebuild with a little "extra" work put into it? Would it be possible to do this using my current turbo for a core exchange or would you need mine to rebuild? I am gonna see what the dealer says on Saturday. I am expecting bad things for some reason. I called them and asked if any other MS3s have been in with smoking turbos and he said no. I told him I have aftermarket parts on there, exhaust and intake. He said it should smoke regardless of my mods, maybe he knows more then I think. We will see, I will let you know! Hey did you guys receive the ETS TMIC units in yet? Maybe I should give this more time, I guess its possible there is some oil residue left in there that wasnt cleaned all the way out. I should just let it run for awhile and see what happens. |

Not yet but I have been told they are on the way. Give it some time but make sure you watch your oil level and if it gets worse you will have to quit driving it or the bearings will be toast. Either way you know my number and we can figure something out if it really starts to bother you. | |

I would have a really tough time giving you my turbo first because this is my only car. I will see what happens, if it gets worse you will be getting a call. ETS does seem to have a problem with delivery dates but thats why I order 4 or 5 at a time and try to keep them on the shelf. Keep me posted on the turbo, if need be we can figure something out. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score you must have taken this pic before starting the car as your clear hose is still clear drive it for a few hundred miles and look again, and empty your can>it's not pretty The only slight disadvantage you have with your set up is IIRC the Greddy cans are empty (no baffle or filtering media) and will not "catch" as much as an OCC that does Either way, it will catch the majority I know because I've had both types Just to confirm One line is coming from your actual PCV valve under the intake to the OCC then from the OCC to the under isde of the intake mani on the vacuum port? From the pic it looks as if one of your lines goes off in the wrong direction...just trying to help as an aside, I truly think that there are some smoking issues related to the oil in the intake tract but on the flip side there are smoking cars due to failing turbo seals This mod was tested and found while doing my VCTS removal to reduce or eliminate the oil contamination inside your intake mani from both the poorly designed Mazda PCV system and the EGR |

| Not Ranked : 0 score #1. I went to my dealer for my seals issue and was honest about my mods. We talked for about 15 mins or so and he told me he has no problem fixixng my smoking turbo. He said this is the first he has heard of it, but if it is a problem, warranty fix. On the flipside, he said DO NOT bring your car to me modded. Revert it to stock because he will have to get authorization from Mazda, reps will come out, yada yada yada...... So if I go back to stock, he will fix it. Well, it didn't smoke when I was stock. I know eventually it will (maybe 25K or so miles), but to me, it just wasn't worth the hastle of undoing all I have done. I plan on going big turbo (or possibly rebuilt) eventually anyway, so I have decided to live with the smoke for now. As far as I know the only thing it is hurting is my pride....... #2. More info on EGR elimination mod please. Does it throw a CEL? #3. Could someone PM me a link on the proper route for the oil CC on our cars? |

The biggest deal for me was having all of the plumbing done and it mounted the right way. I was expecting to see more oil in my CC by now but nothing but a few drops. I am believing more and more that my seals are bad. PLEASE MAZDA MAKE THIS RIGHT |
