Default CorkSport Short Ram Intake

Anybody using the CorkSport Intake? I'm trying to decide which to go with. The Cobb or the CorkSport. The CS comes with the intake tube while the others doesn't. The Cobb has been breaking the mounting tab on the battery tray. Maybe they all are, still collecting info.

Thanx

HUH? Their filter is almost the same as everyone elses but I beleive I can get you a better deal than what the other two are offered for.

To get a good deal on the Nano contact Palerider AKA Randy and he will hook you up with the best price EVAH. Just tell him I sent you please
Here is his section of the this site. Start up a thread if you have to.

The Corksport is a good choice if you want an complete replacement intake at a low cost.

I have the CS intake and love it. I used to have the cobb but sold it and now im using this product. I have no complaints with it and I did feel a difference between the two which is most likely from the upgraded turbo inlet pipe. The stock one is shit.

The corksport inlet/intake is a quality piece for the price. I can get you a great deal on one too.

I made the switch from the MS CAI to the CS SRI/TIP. It's a quality system, for a reasonable price, like others have suggested. It also works well with my AP OTS map, after a little bit of tweaking. Otherwise, this system causes some whacked out fuel trims.

Did it cause whacked out fuel trims because of the AP or without the AP? Does it not come with an airflow straightener?

It creates funky fuel trims either way, but it was nasty with an AP OTS map on the car. Caused a CEL. The exact map escapes me, but it was a map tuned for use with COBB's SRI.
Even w/o EMS, the altered fuel trims are still within a margin Corksport deems, "safe."
I was just throwing that out there.

It does not come w/ a straightener.

I use the Corksport SRI and run Stage 2 + SF 93 oct. v103 and I don't have "funky" fuel trims. Also, I've never had a CEL prior to the AP or now.

Well, I'm happy you've found a suitable map. I ran Stage2 93 v101p +TMIC and I was seeing the highest trims calculable by the PCM , which I believe is +20%. I saw ~+12% pre-AP (OE map).
I had Stage2 93 v101p +TMIC tweaked by Christian at the Cobb Plano satellite, on the dyno. I now see very close to 0, at all times.
I never said it was impossible to run both an AP map and the CS SRI together. I was merely suggesting to take the potential "quirks" into consideration.

Corksport is great product and since it replaces the inlet, you really can't beat the deal.
