Default down pipe suggestions

hi all,
my buddy with a MS6 is going to be putting a CorkSport turbo on his car and was wondering what the next best option for a down pipe next to a CorkSport one. Logic says that keeping with the same brand is ideal but if he chose a different route what would it be?

car has upgraded hpfp, cobb cai, cobb bov, CS cat back, CS race pipe, Cobb AP V3

Several people here have had luck with the eBay downpipe.

I don't like the cs downpipe because of its stupid divorced design. Restricts flow a lot. I guess it's all fine and dandy if you don't plan on making a lot of power.

Get a manzo downpipe from eBay ~150$. Iv been running mine for a little over 2 years without a single issue. Fits perfect! Also my friend is running same one without issues. Plus it's only a pipe that goes after the turbo so it pointless spending 300$+ on a pipe put the money somewhere else that matters.

Get a manzo downpipe from eBay ~150$. Iv been running mine for a little over 2 years without a single issue. Fits perfect! Also my friend is running same one without issues. Plus it's only a pipe that goes after the turbo so it pointless spending 300$+ on a pipe put the money somewhere else that matters.

I'm running the m1 style from ebay. The long version SS 3", came with the turbo adapter to v-band. Had to take a hammer to the area right by the drive shaft coupler to make some extra room via some strategic dents, but otherwise it fits great. Gave me tons of extra room, price was cheap, quality was oddly enough great, and other than a small dent by the DS it was a breeze to do. I see no reason to spend 4-5 times the cost for a name brand one.

Well if MassDOT is like California any aftermarket cat will also be illegal. Hopefully not. If that's the case only reason to run one is if you REALLY care about trees and baby pandas.

Unfortunately Mass requires all the inspection stations to have cameras installed in their shop.... so they won't be able to hook u up anymore.

Be sure to get one with a raised sensor bung and a cast bellmouth design. The raised bung will reduce or totally eliminate the CEL. The cast bellmouth allows the hot gas to expand and cool a bit before entering the main 3" section.

I went with the more expensive TurboXS catless dp/rp. Fit is flawless. Materials are first class. I've been running it for eight years. No leaks, no rattles, no interference, no corrosion or rust.

Yay for SC being a non-inspection state. When I went catless, I just chopped the wire off my downstream O2 and used it to plug the hole. And obviously disconnected the pigtail from the main harness. And obviously disabled the code.

sigs don't always show up on mobile. turboxs doesn't have a ms6 dp, but if they did it would be made in china and cost twice as much as ebay.

i wasn't implying that it would be a bad part if they made it in china, just that they'd mark up the price on a low production run. there's a reason simple parts off ebay are popular.

if you're really interested, there are companies that aggregate supplier data, lookup TURBOXS LLC, and make of it what you will.
