| Not Ranked : 0 score yes, op, you are a grammatical mess... why do you think a front mount would mess up the engine in the rain? maybe you're getting fmic and cai confused. even if the front mount were immersed in water, it wouldn't let any into the engine... go fmic. do it! can't beat $499 installed!

| Not Ranked : 0 score Slowhatch makes a good point that sometimes, the fmic blocks part of the radiator. I have slightly higher ect's than pre-fmic installation. The OP may be concerned with rain due to spark plug location under the tmic.. but I'm not sure. FWIW, I've never seen anyone who upgraded their intercooler have any sort of problems rain / flood related. |

| Just decide on what you want to do with the vehicle. I have had ETS for 2 years now and love it. It gives the most benifit without modification or ricer look. It will take 15 min to install and is idiot proof as far as leaks are concerned. If you are consistantly in stop and go traffic you will still have some heat soak because of sitting on top of the engine with little flow. Other than that TMIC will work fine for most daily aggressive driver's.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I just got an ETS TMIC and I love it already. Granted, it's winter time here now, but I can already feel a difference in spool time, and boost recovery time b/w shifts. I'm sure it would be the same with a FMIC too -- but I am satisfied...

| Not Ranked : 0 score I figured I would post this here rather than start a new thread, at what point (mods wise) does it make more sense to go FMIC rather than TMIC? I'm only running a COBB SRI right meow and plan on getting an AP soon but other than that I dont plan on doing much else to the engine besides a TIP. I'm guessing TMIC will work for me?

| Not Ranked : 0 score That's what I figured, just out of curiosity with my setup would there be any noticeable difference having one vs the other?

| Not Ranked : 0 score not really, there are different pressure drops and things to consider but given your mod path it wont matter much an intercooler upgrade is not going to be giving you much gains, i see an intercooler as a supporting mod for when you turn up the boost you can do so safely |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Gotcha, I plan on running an OTS Stage 1 and eventually getting a PERM. This is my DD so I want a bit moar powah but won't be going BT, would it even be worth it to drop $400 on a TMIC. My goal is to make 250+ hp but not really much more than that.

| Not Ranked : 0 score personally i would get the AP first, then later talk to your perm tuner and see if he thinks a TMIC is necessary for your power goals, i would bet to say he will say it is a good idea since the k04 turns into a flamethrower very quickly, so in short the upgraded intercooler isnt going to be a bad idea, but i would personally get the AP first. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Where the hell did they come from? I'm apprehensive on pulling the trigger on this kit because it's so cheap. Why is it so cheap?
