Default My Custom FMIC Install/Setup

Alright,

The entire project took maybe 12 hours at most taking my time.

I purchased some universal piping kits with a bunch of couples, 2 reducers for the IC to pipe, tons of T-Bolt clamps, everything I needed.
Also bought a Weld-on HKS SSQV BOV Flange, and had it welded by an Aluminum welder for about $30!

Minimal bumper support cutting was required, which after installing didn't help as much, and even had to cut a bit of the fog light housing in the back. You cannot see ANY of the modifications I made to the bumper/fog light at all.

No welding or bending was required with my kit which consists of several 90 and 5 degree pipes, with a few small straight pipe sections. Some parts of these pipes will be welded together at a later day to prevent any unwanted hoses/pipes flying off.

I had to get a new couple for the ATP SRI I installed with my GT3071R Turbo Upgrade Kit.

Piping is 2.5" semi-polished, aluminum mandrel-bent. Semi-polished because I polished a small section myself and it turned out awesome. Will polish the 3 visible pipes and perhaps the valve cover this weekend/early next week.

I have two brackets on the bottom and the top of the intercooler.

When I finished the major work/install yesterday, my first test run a pipe flew off, so I fixed it and went for a run, and another one flew off, then rained. So I just drive it like that til this morning and did a bit more cutting for the pipes and even cut the bumper support/fog light housing/bracket.

finished it all and got the bumper on, everything lines up and looks awesome. The intercooler is a BIT slanted in pics, but it is now centered fine and is great. Car runs awesome and pulls very well. MY A/F gauge reads low 11's at WOT, which can be tuned to mid 12's and for more power.. but I don't want to go too lean.

Below are attached images of the FMIC completed with the bumper on/off and one picture of the turbo oulet, one of where I polished a small area, and other various pics of intake modded, and pipes. I'll try to get a picture of the pipe with the BOV/Flange welded on tomorrow and add it below.

The Bare and Plate Core itself, 26x11x3" in size, including end tanks. Capable of 500hp.

Let me know what you all think!

-Pathik

Yeah, I got like 3-4 PMs so far this week, so I thought I'd bring the info over here to those who want to get ideas - many people here don't go over to the other forum either.
