Yeah, my alkycontrol kit has a low level light as well, which is pretty handy.

The newer kits have also have a pressure sensor in the pump so that you know it is developing pressure, not just being sent power.

If you didn't hear it then it probably wasn't anything to worry about. We twin turboed my buddies Camaro and he stomped on it for a block and it sounded like hammers. I tried to get him to stop but he stayed in it and blew the pistons to hell. That last knock was very loud lol!

The Horsepower Freaks BMW turbo kit has a feature that cuts the boost level if the methanol shows low/no pressure. That might be a good thing to work out for these cars.

Not hard at all, you can do it with conventional flow sensors. If anyone is interested Dano did something similar in his wmi setup. Cut's to spring pressure only on over flow and under flow events from the flow sensor. It's a labonte fail safe.

If 5KR was bad I would have been screwed a long time ago. For the longest time I had bad knock (3-6). Finally got it under control.

so far it feels amazing leen. i think it will be better then my tubular. but i have not boosted 20 psi like i usually run. i am only at 16 and so i dont have a good comparison yet, and i wont till i get meth and fix my meth leak witch was the reason i was empty. my self sealing bulk head was leaking on my meth tank. its leaking from the quick connect.

just pulled all spark plugs and checked them and they all look the same and new. anyway here is pics with the dump tube made. these will also be added to the main post.

I won't be able to make any until I get moved into the new shop. Probably have some done in about 8 weeks as long as the dyno is good.

Troof, I used Heet for a while too and it worked great.


That dump tube is very nicely done too. Is it VTA or is it re-circed into the downpipe?

i found a place local to my house. Its not VP m1 but its 99.99% pure or whatever so its the same shit. i wont have time to pick it up till friday or maybe my Gf will get it for me.
i dont get my self sealing bulk head for my meth tank till thursday so thursday night at the latest my car will be up and running for good hopefully.

i wont schedule a dyno until the weather will give me a 60 degree morning. just like all my other dynoes i need to keep things consistent.

no point in getting inconsistent numbers...it would be interesting to hear about how much the tune had to be tweaked for the mani, though.

i dont think the tune will need to be tweaked at all. as long as i get the same peak boost it will be the same

Not necessarily man. Our cars care about airflow, not boost. If you "up" the boost and hit higher loads (cause the mani flows better), then there is a chance you will need another tune.

My guess is it'll be fine, but i'm just saying, if the mani flows better, you'll be in "new" load territory, which wasn't ever specifically tuned.

I agree. If it boosts sooner then you need more fuel sooner too and if it revs out higher and at more consistent boost level then you need to tune for that too. Either way you might as well get the most you can from the new setup. If it flows better then EGTs should drop allowing more timing for instance.

I have a one off DCR manifold. Tubular, 2" runners, pretty close to stock location. Flows well, but not ideal. I want a top mount. Probably buy that steedspeed top mount soon.
