(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  PCV versus vacuum pump The newer Skyactiv-G engines have it, they're also DISI and mazda decided it's time for their engines to run cleaner. Ford is using it as well with the newer EcoBoost engines. So what does it take to replace the PCV with a vacuum pump based system (say, we're tired of using an OCC)? Because this + the EGR delete (or a system that would let them open in closed look ONLY when the engine is indeed cold) would save these engines from death by suffocation.
