Mine just started smoking yesterday (23,xxx). With an Evolution school this Saturday and a track day in 2 weeks, this is definitely worth a shot. Just ordered one. I am also considering getting the "pcv fix" as well as a extra safety buffer. :/

FYI WARNING!!! The restrictor bolt side hole is too small!!! ENLARGE IT!!! .060" is the BARE MINIMUM and they are under that by several thousands. I have no problem with other people selling banjo bolts, but they WILL NOT use my name to expand their sales. I have another problem with them not doing the research needed, and then providing a bolt with insufficient specs. Fucking tards.

No, I just don't like filling out all of the paperwork. It's not a special bolt with magic powers. Don't you know anyone with a drill press that could do the work? For the price of overseas shipping, you could pay to have a machinist do the work and probably still have money left over. Just print out the how to and take it with you.

.02 minimum, yes. Could probably get it with a small rasp made for enlarging carb jets or something, but the correct drill bit would be quicker.

If you are referring to the non-Bnoon one, i just installed it last week and it is apparently working. I bored out the hole as bnoon said (luckily i have drill press) and the install was a breeze. I had a two-day track event this week and even after idling for several minutes after a 25 minute session there was no sign of any smoke.

PS: I also switched to 5w40 at the same time as the banjo bolt install.

Don't be sorry. Not like it's a big secret or anything. Just make it the right size and you'll be OK. Just weird that anyone willing to drill the ebay bolt could have saved even more money and time and made their own bolt for even cheaper than the ebay imitations by following the how to here on this site.

The fact you plan to make it the right bore size when you get around to it is laughable. I'd fix it first, or just go get a bolt for a buck, and make the bolt. You bought a bolt that is not made properly.

I'd "get around" to making it right before installing, or just not install it. Until it is right.

He's right, drill it out and make sure there's no shavings before you install it or your turbo will melt it's bushings.

ok my "knockoff" banjo bolt fabbed with a .065" hole is still smoking slightly. installed it, idled for 15 mins, and revved it, still smoking but nowhere near as much as before. I will be trying penz plat 5w40 next I guess...

banjo bolt fail lol. still smoking at rev down and down shifts. switched to rotella t6 5w40, and upped the idle to 1150 rpms, it stopped the smoke at idle, but not while letting off the throttle. will be installing new valve cover kit tomorrow and posting results...
