(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score If you already know how to remove turbo Intake and Battery, please proceed to Section 2. Section 1: Battery & Intake removal Section 2: EGR Valve removal and installation Section 3: Alternative coolant hose Section 4: Disable DTCs Kozmic Primary EGR Delete. Buy it from edgeautosport: Primary EGR Delete Use some sealing tape on the threads of the copper fitting to avoid leakage ![]() ================================================== =========================== Section 1: Battery and Intake removal Here we can see where the EGR Valve is located, right behind the fuel pump. To get access to it we'll need to remove the battery and intake. ![]() Unhock MAF cable from MAF housing using a flat screwdriver ![]() Remove SRI from turbo inlet (10mm) ![]() Remove Bypass Valve Hose ![]() Remove hose that connects inlet to valve cover ![]() Disconnect turbo inlet from bracket (10mm) ![]() Remove vacuum hose from inlet, then loosen the clamp that holds inlet to the turbo using 10mm socket and long extensions. Remove TIP! ![]() ![]() Now you can proceed to removing the EGR Valve ================================================== =========================== Section 2: EGR Valve Removal ![]() Remove the electrical connection on the egr unit, and then the black boost controler connection behind the egr. This will free up alot of space and enables you to move the big harness out of the way. ![]() Remove clamp and use a screw driver to push the hose out a little bit. Dont disconnect it yet! ![]() Use a ratchet and a 10mm socket to get the first screw out. Put some rags under the egr unit to catch some of the coolant that will flow out when removing the hose in next step ![]() Remove the hose from egr unit and quickly move to the next step ![]() Get the 10mm socket onto the second bolt holding the egr unit ![]() EGR removed!! The gasket has some tabs on the sides so it will most likely stay in place ![]() Removing this lump of metal and plastic just made your car a little bit faster by saving some weight ![]() ![]() Get the delete plate in place and use a 14mm socket to get it tight. Connect hose to the barbed fitting ![]() The hose might be too short, as it was for me. If it is, go to Section 3 to make your own from the throttle body coolant hose. This is how crocked my hose was, not good enought! ![]() Look how much space we will have when installing a bigger turbo ![]() ![]() ================================================== =========================== Section 3: Alternative coolant hose This is a alternative way to get the coolant hose to correctly connect between egr plate and coolant hardline on turbo unless you have a different hose available. This requires two caps to put on the nipples on the throttel body, you dont want dirt in there if you for some reason would reconnect the hoses later. By using the coolant lines connected to the throttle body you get a longer hose to play with to avoid it from bending to much. Start by removing the hoses that's connected to the throttle body and put caps on the nipples (these caps are from JBR's coolant bypass kit) ![]() ![]() Remove the hose that was connected to the big aluminium coolant hardline. Looks like this. You will need to cut this to proper length when installing it onto the egr plate. I used the right side of it ![]() Connect the other hose to the aluminium coolant hardline to make the coolant circulate ![]() Here is my hose, there is still a bit of a fold in the line, but much better than before The barbed fitting exapandes the hose a bit so i could not get the clip on. So i used it to make the hose round (hose was folding where the clip is in this picture) ![]() I ziptied the hose on the egr fitting to make it snug! ================================================== =========================== Section 4: Disable DTCs You will get a CEL or two when the EGR Valve is disconnected. They are: P0403 and P0401 Use Accessport or Versatuner to delete them! In VT you go here: Home > Settings > "Edit Tune Customizer Profile" > Disabling DTCs > Advanced ![]() Congratz! You are done! Finished! Fatto! Klar! Completar!

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score First 30secs there was not that much coming out, after that it started to flow a bit more. How much that is lost depends alot on how much time it takes you to get the hose onto the fittings. Took alot of time for me because i didnt have a solution for the bent hose until i came up with the throttlebody idea. In the meantime i put the original egr hose back o

| Not Ranked : 0 score If you want to keep your throttle body hose you can stop at a local hardware store and pick up some high temp gas hose. It should work just fine and won't collapse like the stock one did.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score There are probably alot of other hoses out there that can do the job just as good or better. Secondary is like monkey said, the hardpipe thats connected to the intake mani. Secondary EGR Plug > Secondary EGR Plate > Primary EGR Plate I belive its even possible to delete the aluminum thats bolted to the block, think i saw that i someones thread. But i think that included some welding and rerouting of the big coolant hose that goes to the radiator. May be a bit much =)

I have not seen any coolant leak. But my AFR's are very rich but that looks to be the BPV gasket. So i dont think i have any leak at the EGR unit. I just bought a papergasket that will allow me to make my own gaskets. But the egr gasket need to be of a different material to withstand coolant and exhaust gases. If you find a good material, its pretty easy to make a gasket Just bought the new Atmosphere turbo kit so we'll see if it everything stays leakfree

| Not Ranked : 0 score May I just say after a long day fiddling around, wrecked back and fucked up hands from all the twisting turning and unscrewing parts in epically tight spaces, it's finally done my EGR valve is clean as fuck, if that thing dares to throw an ECL I'm going to delete that thing like it never existed. Thank you for the thread and one who posted it, big respect! Отправлено с моего iPhone используя Tapatalk |

| Not Ranked : 0 score So I understand that with the ap one can delete the dtc but will the car pass emissions with the codes just deleted? And if it doesn’t does anyone make a resistor mod to trick the emu to thinking it’s on the car still? |

Removing a code with the AP just isolate it from triggering the CEL light. The emission test will remain incomplete for that part unless a working EGR valve is operating on the car for xxx driving conditions monitored.

| Not Ranked : 0 score where do the throttle body hoses go? I know one goes to the hardline going to the oil cooler, but I can't find the other one anywhere. |
