^ thanks. Height adjustment is prolly a must for me. I play in the snow a lot. Started looking at the air suspension for that reason but then saw the price and looked at coil overs. Haha

does anyone have any personal experience with tein coilovers?
someone is selling new ones for 950.00 (still leaning towards the sonic tuning coilovers currently)

Not on this platform, but I did not enjoy them whatsoever... Harsh and just all around uncomfortable... Just my .02

Thanks for the good info. I'm not sure if I'll put the car on track anytime soon but I need adjustable height since I go to the snow all winter.

Just remember that you're gonna need an alignment every time you change the static ride height!

Would anybody be interested in a proper coilover setup for the speed6? I shot a short email to Shaikh from Fat Cat Motorsports and it looks like he would be able to come up with a nice coilover setup. I will talk to him more and see what he has to offer (will probably start a new thread once I have more details) but at the minimum he will need a local person for some test fitting (they are in Redwood City, CA).

@RAR is running them currently with Eibach. he said he would love to switch to H&R in the future, so he could give you some better opinions/update.

i decided to go with Koni Yellows with H&R (will be installed next wednesday)

Put back on your stock springs w/ stiffer rates... bam, less body roll. Not that body roll is a bad thing in the first place.

Since those coilovers do not exist yet, I made a new thread.

EiBach rears are soft as hell, I hit the bump stops fairly often. I'd stick with springs made for the Speed6 since normal Mazda6 springs don't take in to account the speeds extra weight. I'll be switching to H&Rs when I have some time.

I have BCs. Installed myself, measured with fingers. Came out OK, but set to full stiff and over every bump was click, click click. Couldn't figure it out. Finally just set to full soft and most of the clicking went away. I assume is is the valves I head. So now I have body roll again, but rides better and is about 1/2 or so lower. Can be turned to full stiff again easy too. But still not super happy with BCs. Would like to have a better strut but had to be adjustable so I will probably keep them as I have no money for that shit. Got them for cheap (under $700) back in the good old days with bing.com cash back on ebay. So at least I didn’t spend too much on them. However, add in the $1000+ I spend on the HSDs before that and it adds up.

I've been searching around and can't find anything relevant.. So here we go

Ms6 dread, jugger, and whiteline rsb...
Sitting on h&r drops with bilstein HDs

Looking to lock down the front end... Not sure which would net me better results... larger front sway bar or front strut tower bar

I am leaning towards the sway bar, as it directly ties the suspension together. Although the tower bar will help chassis roll... Any thoughts out there on which would be better?

On the MS6, the strut mounts are located so close to the firewall that a strut tower bar has a pretty negligible impact. It looks cool though...

If you want a real change in handling, you're much better off going for a larger diameter sway bar or something to that effect.

I run -2.7 camber in front and -1.9 in rear. Then no toe. Not stock but it works for me.

I've looked around and can't find any definitive information. Has anyone run the Mazdaspeed brand springs on their MS6? I saw some that the part number specifies "4-door sedan 2.3L" that I would imagine means the regular 4-cyl 6. At least for that, it claims 31mm drop.

Obviously, the extra weight in the rear of the MS6 is a concern. Also, does anyone know what the spring rates are for these? The dealer said his catalogs doesn't show that information.

I'm asking because I'd like a slightly lower ride and possibly firmer spring rates paired with some Koni yellows and my options are few.

I am not sure about the Mazdaspeed branded spec springs, but frankly they a very overpriced option unless you have a line on used or heavily discounted ones.

The few spring options for the MS6 i know to be a moderate drop are namely RPM and Eibach. The RPM ones are not in production anymore, so you'd have to find used or 3rd party retailer. Eibachs are super common tho. RPMs list at only 0.75-1.1" drop (once settled closer to 1.2-1.5)... Eibachs are about the same listed at 1.4-1.5" drop.

more aggressive drops you can get with H&R, Megans or Tein.

btw, u stole my avatar biatch.

The RPMs and Eibach's give a nice sport drop, very minimal, and can be used fine on stock shocks, as shown below (ms3). Good for the budget as well.

My personal preference is a full setup (springs and shocks) though with Megans or H & R's. Drop is a slightlower, but the setup I've got now with Bilstein shocks, H & R springs and stock bump stops is tits.

Yeah, nice avatar batou! I've actually been using that same one on other forums for a few years! I'm boring and don't change my avatar very often.

I'd love to get my hands on some RPM springs, but I know they're like the holy grail trying to find them. Most pics I've seen make me think the H&R springs would be too low for me. I'll keep looking...

Aye, RPM springs are about as rare as a good condition MS6 for sale these days.
hard to find.

Eibach isnt a bad choice either, very timid drop, common/easy to find and a pretty quality product.

So should I get BC CO or Bilstein Damper/H&R spring combo? I will be using stock rims until i figure out what rims to get.

FWIW, I'm closing the gap on 5 years (in April IIRC) with my BC COs installed on my car. They have been at full stiff dampening nearly the entire ride, and dumped height for most of their life. Held up great, but I can tell the shocks are getting tired. Starting to feel boaty and skip bumps and dips a lot more they they use to...

Just ordered some KW V2's but I'd like to point out that the part number 15275005 is the set they have for the regular 6. After looking into overseas (since they don't sell MS6 specific in the states) I found that part number 15275007 is what they use for the MS6 specific overseas. Here in the states it's the same ones they sell for the mazda 6 wagon.

Is any MS6 peeps running B&G sport springs? Pics of the drop? Also will sport springs be ok with the factory struts and shocks for street use?
