(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Install: I am bad at rating difficulty, but let's just say no busted knuckles during install. Fairly straight forward. Remove the underpanel by taking out the (8) 10mm bolts per the instructions. Remove the 17mm bolts holding the mount to the bracket. Definitely loosen the (2) 19mm bolts holding the braket to the engine. This helps a lot with the removal (and installion) of the motor mount. You also need to use pry bar/big screwdriver to remove the mount from the rear part of the bracket. It takes a little time, but it will come out. Once the mount is out you just need to press the inserts into the absences in the rubber of the mount. I used my hands, but you may have to use some kind of clamping tool (per the instructions). Once pressed in, I used a rubber mallet to make sure they were all the way in. ![]() Then I loosely bolted the front of the mount in. Pushed the rear in slightly then used the rubber mallet to persuade it in. Lined the holes up using an old screwdriver and screwed the rear bolt in. Tightened everything up (don't forget about the 19mm bolts holding the bracket). Reinstalled the underpanel. Driving impressions: There is a definite increase in vibrations. Not dogbone in a MS3 harsh, but a lot different from the stock "cushiness" Driving around normal it isn't harsh, you notice a little more smoothness than with the stock mount. Once you get on it though, it goes through gears with less hesitation with more response. Only drove it around my neighborhood, but personally it is more of a blast to drive. Anyone with a CX7 with plans to mod it, or just wants more of a sporty feel should check out this mod. For $35 you can't go wrong.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Agreed. In about a month, the vibes should be nearly gone. The vibes are worse with the A/C on, but you have a few months before you have to worry about that and by then, they should be worn in... |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I think they're just a tad too thick, and that's why they vibe so much. I'm making adjustments to mine.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I am really curious what a CX-7 with intake, tbe, and a tune would run the quarter mile at. :-)

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The stiffest. Vibrates the same as my MS3 with the TRZ trans/motor mount combo. Makes a big difference in power delivery.

| Not Ranked : 0 score One of my friends has a 2007 CX7 and wants to stiffen the rear motor mount a bit. I recommended him these inserts since I also have them and had not so pleasant experiences with aftermarket urethane and rubber RMMs, but I was wondering if there's any reliable RMM on the market (apart from those from unSURE).
