Default Shake on gear change

Hi everyone, I have a 2010 cx7 and it start normal and start moving normal, but in sometimes between 60 and 80, shake when it time to change gear. It have if I let the car to change gear slowly, if I accelerate at more than 3,000 rpm I don't feel the shake, and if I use manual I can change the gear without problem. I took it to a mechanic and he said it is the solenoid. What can I do he said I can change the solenoids with problem o change the whole valve box.

Thanks.

you might want to get the factory service manual and see what it would take to replace and the testing procedures

You need to give a more detailled description of the problem (in what gear does the ''shaking'' happens...)

I dont think you need to change the valve body for this...you can make adjustment to the clutch control valve on the Aisin TF-81 transmission...the adjuster can compensate for wear in the valve body components

If you are interested I can guide you through the process

Thanks for the answer torquemaniac, In more detail I feel the shake between 4 and 6 gear. Like I said it happen if I let the vehicle change the gear normally about 2,000 rpm. If I accelerate at more that 2,500 or 3,000 rpm I do not feel the shake. And on manual either.

Thanks,

Just to clarify things, do you feel the shake in manual mode when you shift it at 2000rpm (that is in 4th to 6th gear?

If you can reproduce the effect in manual mode, do you feel a shift delay and then a bump when the gear engage?

No, I do not feel the shake on manual, only on automatic. When it happens the vehicle start shaking and then stop when gear change.

Thanks,

Thanks,
OK...so you literally feel the car shaking and cant replicate the problem at 2000rpm in manual mode...I am lost now...

The problem should happens in both automatic and manual mode at 2000rpm if it was the transmission

The transmission should not make the car shake also...maybe one of the motor or transmission mounts are damaged

Another information. I took the car to a mazda mechanic and with some scanner it detected a bad solenoid. When he changed the problem disappear for 2 days. After that it appear again. Now he says it can be some kind of pressure problem, the solenoid is damage again, or other piece that now I do not remember the name.

Hi, I went for a ride with the mechanic and the scanner says the solenoid are OK. Now the mechanic say after feeling the shake that the problem is the torque converter. That it could be damage and need to be replace.

Thanks.

I have a similar issue, when the car (in automatic) change to the 3 to 4th it make a bit shake... Did the replacement of the torque converter works?
