(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I just received my new CPe catback (only), and wonder if anyone has any tips for the install. One question I have is do I re-use the gasket between the stock muffler and the STANDARD mid section pipework..?? Thanks...!!! Last edited by Shazza; 04-27-2011 at 03:32 AM. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score i am guessing you are reffering to the quickpower pipe which deletes the second cat?or is it the axle back muffler.?. yes you need to reuse the gasket or you can use the high temp silicone stuff and then bolt the pieces together.. install is not too bad, a few wrenches and a floor jack or a friend to help and you are good to go

| Not Ranked : 0 score Not to sound like a jerk, but the cat-back comes with instructions.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score That was fun....... Certainly a different sound. Deeper, and a bit boomy. Time and carbon will settle it a bit. A nice long drive should help settling the sound down. I am pretty impressed by the fact is actually fitted without the need for "creative metalwork." I'll give it a week to settle on the hangers, and then check the alignments. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The exhaust is just audible at cruise speeds. Otherwise, it is probably a bit louder than what I anticipated. Funny thing is that my Partner is quite happy with it. Here you go. A couple of pics. is it normal for tips to sit that low and have the welds so visible? They sit ~1 inch below the bumper. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score A question for those that have the catback, and then added the Quick Power pipe. How much louder was it? |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I have to say, that after fitting this catback, my fuel economy has definitely become worse. There is no doubt as far as I am concerned. The economy for the same driving has gone from 13.9L/100km to 15L/100km. Cruising economy is shockingly worse than before. Now before you all tell me about "resetting" the ECU, that's been done by virtue of testing with a few different tunes. All return worse economy than before. I'm OK with having a nice exhaust note, and this one is really too LOUD, but when performance and economy suffer, I need to find out why. has anyone seen worse economy? |
