Default Need personal opinion on mounting tablet in nav casing

So ive had this speed 6 on the road now since Friday and already can't stand the factory nav, I also have a 2012 nexus 7 laying around. I decided to dissemble the nave screen case and found I will have to cut the old mounting holes out. I was wondering what anybody did to mount there tablets in place without any issues.

At this point (it's not completely done but it works kind of) I cut the original mounts for the old Nav screen. I centered where I was putting the tablet and double sided taped it in. I stripped a micro USB head to plug into it and cut into the box for a little extra room for it. I also purchased a 90 degree 3.5mm jack for my early version of xcarlink. I will end up using bluetooth at some point. And hard wiring the USB cable into the tablet
There's a lot of how to's on getting the navigation out
