(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  QUICK..Bose vs regular HU.. interchangeable? Will any radio from an 06-up Mazda 6 interchange with the Bose system?

| Not Ranked : 0 score don't know about the 6, but in the three, if you have the bose system, and put in a non-bose radio, it would work. however, the bose amp would not be used, so you'd only get whatever power the radio makes. also, i just did an installation with an aftermarket radio. i had to modify two of the wires in the harness to make it work.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I don't know if this helps but I just took my bose unit out and have my part numbers handy. My model no. is GP9A66DSXA. The ref. # is CQ-EM4560AK. I have seen several different model numbers on the 6 disc changer HU's but they all seem to have the same ref #. Which leads me to believe that the actual units (6-disc bose vs. non-bose) are the same thing. Single disc I am sure is a different story. I am in the middle of removing my bose system completely. I will be selling my head unit as well if interested. It just doesn't have a face right now because I butchered it. I will be acquiring another face to complete the unit. |
