I bought the form and bullets separate from my stainless distributor then assembled it as I built the header.

I believe the 7064 EFR would work great on a MS3. As far as the GT vs. EFR in my opinion, there is no comparison. Keep posted I should have more pics soon and some dyno numbers in a week or two.

Sorry for not updating lately, the customer went ahead and approved the engine build.
Miata block, Speed 6 crank (heavy mods made in house), proprietary rods and Speed6 pistons.
Here is a pics of the rods, I will get some pics of the crank up when I am done with it.

this build reminds me of builds from d-series.org, using various parts from other Mazda's to make it work. Quite awesome if you ask me!

is this a street car or a race car?


how are aluminum rods these days for daily drivers?.... in my days we never had success running them on the street because they would always stretch over time and leave u with the piston knocking a valve eventually

for drag racing they are the shit but running time between cool downs is minimal obviously.

keep posting shit man, looks good. interesting build

They have come a long way, now dont get me wrong they are no 100,000 mile rod or anything but I have them in a few 4G63's that are daily driven, and they are doing great. I also have them in several subbies, Mustangs, Camaro's, Vette's and various other engines. To answer the other part of your question, yes this miata will be driven on the street as well as the track. Quick tech note, I have them made slightly shorter to compensate for growth in warm up. The trick to making an aluminum rod live is to let the engine warm to operating temp. before ever touching the throttle.

Sorry it has been a minute, 18psi car blew through the clutch and kinda hovered around 330whp. currently having a clutch setup made so we can turn up the boost, the car as built to run 25 to 27 psi. I will tell yall something though, that son of a bitch will fly at 18psi. I rode around Road Atlanta with the owner WOW! that is all I have to say about that!
