Default MS6 custom LED side markers

Decided I didn't like my side markers and tried something new. Here is the write up and pictures of my custom LED side markers.

bought smoked side markers off ebay and cut them open.

attached amber LED strips. They were 16 cm (about 6.5 inches) long

I used a 194 LED bulb I had as a socket to run the LED wires through and plug into the relay.

attached wires to bulb

put all back together

Back on the car, couldn't tell by looking at them they are LED

(no flash)

Seems like a lot of work for no performance gain.

Real nice. I don't car much for the stock amber lenses. I may have to give that a try.

That looks good, and doesn't seem like much work at all. Nicely done.

how much did that run you? because someone already makes them with led's, although it looks like they stopped making them.

And you're in the running for one of the longest dead thread revivals...

Also, apparently you're incapable of reading. In the OP it says he "cut them open."

haha this thread is so dead but just trying my luck. I don't know if you've tried it, but it almost seems impossible to just cut them open. I think I'll have to bake them first, but wanted to confirm if he baked it before cutting them cuz I don't want to destroy my side markers.
