Default 12.5@113

I got the car to the track on the weekend

I ran a 12.5@113
60'=1.83
330'=5.32
660'=8.14@86.90mph
1320'=12.5@113.01

I had trouble shifting 1-2 and 2-3. I am not sure if it was me or the car but the trans is old tired and not had an easy life so I think i will get one rebuilt and swap it in with a new clutch.

how heavy are the clutchmaster twin disks compared to the ACT sprung 6 puck?

Oh this is a Corksport turbo, running 94octane, 1000cc/m meth. 11.4 AFR, 23psi boost and 15degrees of timing. I asked for 11 but the car gave it 15....

Not bad for the time between the install and the result!

Is it the 71mm compressor CS or the new larger one not released yet ?

I bet it wasn't your first time at the strip? Did you removed a lot of stuff from the car to reduce weight ?

This is there 50.5mm inducer 55 trim Turbo.

I pulled the backseat, passage seat and spare tire.

I feel with race gas and the ability to flat foot shift I should have an 11.9 in it at 115.

I have a race car, this is just the daily driver.

Maybe next year it will happen.

50.5mm is the inducer. The compressor wheel exducer size is 68mm. Just shy of 71 like what Jeff was eluding to.

Congrats on the 12.5 though. I'm also on the baby CS turbo (aka Puppy Power)

My 2-3 was sticky AF in my Pu anywhere north of 4,000 RPM and loved to get hung up. I had to slam it on the drag strip just to get it in 3rd gear. FoMoCo Unicorn Jizz made it smooth as butter. If you're not running that, you might want to give it a shot. It truly is magic.

I have had the ford oil in for years, and last year I smashed gears like a boss. That is why I am thinking that the transmission might need a rebuild.

I am planning on rebuilding a trans to go in with a new clutch this winter. The ACT has almost 50000 miles on it and needs attention. Has anyone tried the clutch masters twin disk? Is it lighter then the act HD 6 puck?

I know Ariel Casas has used both and runs the CM in his 700+ HP speed. If you don’t get an answer here, you could try asking him on his YouTube channel. I’m pretty sure he’d answer. Just throwing that out there.

ACT HD 6-puck is no heavier than the stock clutch in my 4cyl Tacoma.
I love mine. The stock speed clutch is stupid light.
