Default Drag radials strip and street

Looking at running some 555r's on my speed 3 daily and obviously using them at the strip. How well do you think 330wtq will hold on the stock clutch (60k miles highway) using these tires daily? Bad idea? Stick with street tires? Thanks

I ran them on my 09MS3 with around 360HP.
Summer daily and strip. I had had them on the front only for almost 2 summers.
They're not great in rain , especially when they get worn down.
They did get me into the 12s at full weight.

Was this on stock clutch and how long did you run them? I planned only on the front as well. We are coming out of the rainy season soon in florida so no worries there. My main concern was for the clutch because our shit is a pain to do and pricey.

Stock clutch. They were used when I got em from doubleflusher , still got about two summers out of em and I was hard on em.

Any other experiences out there? Would love some more positive feedback. Going to be on a little big turbo so wont be seeing much more than 330-340wtq to keep things reliable but I want to get some use out of 2nd if possible

stock clutch can hold that easily even on slicks , but the 555r arent gonna do shit for u other than improve your 60ft by 1/10th lol

At the track it's not comparable to what a slick can do.
It is alot better than all seasons daily driving them for straight line traction.

What would you guys suggest for a daily driver then? I dont mind replacing them every 6ish months but I want some type of all weather performace which the 555r delivers

555r aint all weather dude .... that shit probably about 5/32 worth of tread depth .... ive hydroplaned on them on the fwy in cruise control at 60 mph in 6th gear.

if you want something decent get an nt05 or a star spec direzza and it can handle all duties .... but for drag racing its either a slick or get used to running a lot slower than your car can .... no way around that .

I had them and I know they arent the best but I was looking for a happy medium for traction and driveability. I just didnt have them on a speed3 it was a boost civic which makes a bit of a difference.

try the two choices i gave u .. u wont be dissapointed ..... or u can roll in an nt01 if u want more traction but wont last too long

In for tire selection for street tires. FYI, the car is not daily driven, built for the track with the occasional spirited sundays. I am running Hankook Ventus slicks for the strip for now... Waiting for the tread to go, then some good M/T along with a bigger turbo and better mani. Thinking some Nto1's... input pls

Nto1 will definitely give you a grip and it's good if you want traction, but it wears out fast if you drive it pretty often but since you said it won't be daily driven, it'll be a good choice!

The car is nothing but a toy now. Not full trailer queen but getting there in a hurry. I have yet to have a chance with these tires and I was thinking RS3 ' S but I want to try something new and was having issues with traction prior to this build I have now.

Ya my commute is 160 miles so I definitely do not want to drive a fully built mazda especially when I can't stay off the throttle!

Best sticky true street tires I could fine for both straight line and cornering are in my sig. Extreme performance summer Yokohama AD08R. Pretty close to track R compound. Not DOT drag radials, but very sticky.
