(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Hey, thanks for the reply. I actually haven't bought the car yet. It's the one on cars.com in NJ that needs a tune but is modded nice. I was trying to find a tuner if I did buy it. I did buy a new yellow MSP when they first came out but had to sell it and am looking for another one. Here's a pic of the one I bought new |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks guys, but like I said, I don't have the car anymore. I bought it new and had to sell it when I lost my job. I'm working again and have been looking for another one. I found one for sale in NJ that has a ton of mods and looks great but needs a tune. I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on it until I talk to someone who knows about tuning these cars. You can see it on cars.com. It's the blue one in NJ |

Some of the mods are headers and full exhaust, bigger turbo and innercooler, bigger injectors etc. You can see and read about it on cars.com. The price is right and the car is clean but I want to know if a tune is all it needs and where I could get it tuned properly |

| Not Ranked : 0 score With stock internals that engine won't last long. Our cars have weak internals. It's pretty much a stock protege engine with a turbo strapped on it. With those upgrades, that engine won't last long, even with a tune. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks for the info. Did you see it on cars.com ? My first question was if all it needs is a tune, why not get it tuned and sell it for a hell of a lot more money. The car is super clean with low miles and that price seems too low if all it needs is a tune |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Ur exactly right. Even with those mods, u don't necessarily need a tune. U can run it with factory ECU settings and the turbo shudnt spool. Somethings missing. There has to be an issue he's hiding, plus for that price... That's a give away for that amount of miles. There has to be a bigger problem. I wud see it and test drive it before anything. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score You know that Binghamton NY is not Upstate NY right?  Not seeing the car up on cars.com anymore. Did it sell? Did you buy it? Sorry I missed this as I'm not on this forum that much. The MSP is very quirky for mods and you either need to go all in, or just run it stock. Right now I'm running an upgraded SMIC and even with the piggyback it's been a pain at idle. I could get it tuned, but I've always found this car to drive the best when stock.
