can't stop, ABS/Traction Control lights, no cruise control...vacuum leak?

I recently had my engine replaced, and after I got it back it ran great, but it didn't stop so well. I have to pump the brakes a few times to build up pressure and then they work fine. I also noticed that the cruise control doesn't work, and the Traction Control and ABS lights never turn off. I thought it was a vacuum leak, but I sprayed some ether around all the visible hose connections and the idle never jumped.

Obviously I'm bringing it back to the mechanic, but I wanted to see what other forum members thought to educate myself when I see him on Monday.

What would cause it to go bad though? It worked fine before the engine blew.

my only guess is mechanic broke something while putting in the new engine

try bleeding the brakes before you do anything major. There might just be air in the lines

Yeah, I thought about bleeding the lines too, but it's not an intermittent thing; it's every time. And I figured that since the cruise control doesn't work either that it would point to a vacuum issue. But you're right, bleeding the lines is quick and easy...

lol is this the guy that wanted to get another engine or something equally retarded installed in his car or was that someone else?

If its the same guy I would suggest when braking you go for the other peddle the one you are probably pushing is whats called the clutch.

pretty sure he thought he assumed he was getting a N/A motor cuz it had an AT attached originally.... they found out it was a CX7 motor IIRC

Yeah, I didn't realize that; sorry. Just jumped on the "donate bitch!" bandwagon. Ironically my own VIP banner has disappeared twice LOL
