Default Help please. Broken shifter cable?

First, I did search. And I'm hoping it's not a broken shifter cable... Any input? Thanks in advance!

Ok, so I have the JBR SSP, bushings, counterweight, and FOMOCO tranny fluid. JBR products have been on for around 5-6 months and Tranny fluid in there for about a month maybe 2. Yesterday, the shifting was perfect, the same it's ever been. Last night, I went in and re-gapped the spark plugs and started it up this morning.

I drove the car to class and the shifting felt terrible. As you can see in the video, there is a ton of play back and forth while the car is in gear, and it barely takes any force to move it like that while I'm driving.

Also, the shifts seem to go in like butter, almost too easy. When it is in gear, it feels like it's barely held in gear, and will easily come out of gear with hardly any force. Idk what else it could be or what exactly to look for. Torn rubber part around the cable?

Thanks for the help guys!

Did you even check the SSP and the linkage around it? Could have come lose or gotten hung up.

Yeah, we'd do better helping if we had a pic inside the engine bay. Check the SSP, see if something came loose. Check he shifter cable and the cheap ass plastic connector. Give us a pic man.

Thanks guys! I think I found the problem. Somehow the riser came loose which is really weird. In the pic you can see how it's crooked. Somehow I overlooked it the first couple times, but I just got a friend to shift it for me while I watched. Thank God that's all I have to do is tighten it I was getting worried lol

Has anyone else had this problem? I don't want it to keep happening.

Same thing happened to me a few days after I installed my shift plate. I tightened the shit out of it and it didn't come loose again, even without loctite.
