(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I looked at the fuel pressure...and the HPFP Pressure Act. is 0. The HPFP Volts is 0 also. I know for a fact though that the pressure is not 0...because the motor is idling fine...and I can accelerate slowly without any problem. I had a FP sieze one time and I was running off the 50psi from the low pressure pump, and the car would barely idle and actually driving was almost impossible. Anyways...I am thinking its possibly the fuel rail pressure sensor that failed...so I unplugged it to see if anything would change (Thinking if nothing changed...then the sensor is bad). Well when I unplugged it...the volts went up to 4.8-4.9. When I plugged the sensor back in, it went back to 0. Now I know the sensor is a "resistor" type sensor...so is that normal for the volts to jump up like that? Then when I plugged it back in...it went back to 0? Reason I ask is I'm trying to rule out the possibility of a wiring issue...from a short curcuit etc. Anyone have experience with this?
