^^Thanks, I use it to run people through the border undetected...

Ok, The Install instructions say "CUT"

You do not cut, The 4 Ignition wires from the haltech are yellow.. They get patched directly to the White Green Yellow Violet wires on the AEM.

Wire 1 to Wire 1
Wire 2 to Wire 2

etc...

I suggest using a heat shrink, Double walled.

Just a point.

Have fun setting the timing, there are no wires so there is no way to hook a Timing Light to the ignition system.

You need to make a short wire from an old lead that can plug into the coil (and simulate a spark plug, and fit all the way down into the well and connect to the plug.

You then get a loop of wire to put the pickup ring on for the timing gun.

I have seen the car in the metal (flesh did not sound right) Well it is a sano engine bay! Loved the electric H2O pump, but as I was told many years went into it! Awesome ride!

What's the thinking behind 12v water pump being better than a mechanical / belt driven one?

Anything belt driven takes additional power to run.

You saw it cuz I tapped it

So you are spending something like $500+ countless hours of labor for something that will get you 10 hp or so and add about 8 lbs more of weight?
I'd like a more thorough analysis on this if possible.

Does this also apply to a newer generation Mazda (MZR based) that came from the factory with hall effect cam and crank position sensors and coil on plug? Mechanical timing is set& static, isn't electronic spark timing derived from the input of the camshaft sensor after everything is synced?

Brian all I needed was proof this would work the rest is up to the people I hired to do the work for me...it up to them make it work....I 'm too busy working to pay for all of this- lol.

Parasitic loss, I think he also has a reverse flow cooling system, heck what is $500? for a water pump, Brian easily has several 10's of thousands of dollars invested in his build, pretty sure it is not about the bling or impressing people, it becomes a obsession of sorts I would assume based on experience to build/make something unique.

It is about CONTROL

PS, The pump is 3 Lbs, and that weight sits in front of the front tire center line so it is "Good Weight". Not like adding weight to the back...
