(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Haltech Standalone Sprint 500 It is a trimmed down version on the SP1000 ECU that I use. It is looking like a very good entry level ECU. If that's the case, it might be worth looking at. It will be able to do Full Sequential and Full Direct Coil On Plug (8 Outputs) The best part is the Cost, USB Support and the new software.

I have had great luck and support, but that could be said about most companies. There are some guys on the Haltech forum that are trying to figure out the 2.3L and the DISI. Exciting times..

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I wanted to update this.. I am installing this in a Protege for a friend of mine.. Kyle.. I have already created a map for his that is similar to mine, but because the SP500 is a 16x16 Map and the PS1000 is a 32x32, it took a bit of time. I'll post up results which I am sure will be positive.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Flawlessly. As usual, being a "Trail Breaker" requires 5 times the install because there are no notes and no solutions. We had his running in under 10 Hours and the install even looked pretty.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score This is a Map for the Sprint500. 1. It Will in no way operate an FS engine unless it has a modified trigger. 2. It is made to operate with 550cc Subaru Pink (STI) injectors. 3. It is made to Run a Direct Coil On Plug (One Coil Per Cylinder) 4. It is made to Run Full Sequential Injection. 5. It must have a Crank Position Sensor AND Modified Cam Position Sensor 6. It Will not let you switch back to ECU Control (Because of the Modified Cam Gear)
