Does anyone have the part number of the o-ring of the HP fuel pump? Mazda recommends replacing that if the pump is removed.

Later edit: L3K9-13-ZE5

I used a normal socket and it worked well. I think it was like an 11/32 or something small like that.
You should be able to reach the top right bolt without removing anything but maybe the shroud and try out the sizes before you start

OK so did the install last night... It's not really all that bad. Just a bit daunting putting the internals together whilst keeping them super clean and lubed...

One fuck up tho. Dropped one of those annoying plastic clips that secure the fuel lines into the engine bay and lost it. Temporary zip tie to the rescue again!

Started the car and all seemed good. Went for a drive... Couldn't help going WOT lol. Fuel pressure holding VERY nicely.

One query: my fuel pressure seems to jump high even at part throttle. Like it is over sensitive. Is this normal?? Can't remember what my stocker was like??

Cheers

My fp goes up to high 1700s with just normal driving.

That clip might have dropped down to the skid plate and might still be there.

the pump does make more noise than the stock internals, no doubt there, but i only noticed when i started the car and had the hood up, inside the cabin I couldnt tell a difference.
So the louder noise was a clicking noise almost? I installed mine today and noticed the clicking from the fp.

Hey guys I got a P0421 after installing my internals. Anything to worry about? I don't have an AP yet so I can't monitor fuel ratio.

I remember when I use to do what I was told, Do what makes sense to you and works with the platform we have. People are going to try to pressure you into different routes of modding but you need to use your head to think a step ahead. I am not trying to troll but you should get a AP ASAP. Good luck man, hope that the error code is nothing serious.

P0421:
Warm Up Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

Could be O2 sensor or fouled spark plug

Some people are overly anal about internals, but really it comes down to if you need it or not. You should have done your reading, but you also can't monitor it without anything. There are other options besides an AP if you really wanted to check pressure.

So I'm struggling to find any numbers after you guys installed your upgraded internals. I bought my ms3 used and have a slight feeling it was modded before hand. I'm monitoring my Fp at 1790-1800 psi. Does this sound like. Pretty strong running Fp or should it be much higher. Just can't decide whether to just get it ordered and installed or get my fmic. Thanks again and sorry for being a noob here

What are you using to monitor your fuel pressure? An AccessPort?

If you do have an accessport, take a log and check your boost levels while making sure that your pressure isn't dipping once you hit 17 or 18 psi. If your boost targets are lower than that, increment them up by .5 psi at a time, reflash, and take another log. I was seeing my pressure dip down to 1500ish by 17.5 psi before I had internals, now it holds strong at 1800-1900 (I'm commanding higher pressure on this map).

If you aren't familiar with the tables, google Abilor's tooning guide or Bucker's guide.

Congrats. You just popped your groan cherry with this resurrection.

Look at dates before you bump a thread.
