Default how to install eonon d5102 with bose + aftermarket sub

Good morning class. This is how i installed an eonon d5102 in my 2008 speed 3 gt with bose. I also have an aftermarket amp/sub as well. there are lots of how to's on installing an aftermarket amp, how to remove the radio, etc etc etc... so i'm going to skip all those steps.

This site has lots of information on the d5102. I used it for some info.
http://d5102.wikispaces.com/

First of all, because I have bose, i have to modify the wiring harness. that means popping out pin 13 and plugging it into pin 12. Then you have to cut off the other end of it and connect it to the “control amp” wire. That will let you use the bose system. the big plug goes to the factory harness. the small plug goes to the stereo.

After that, the two main things I needed to do was rewire my sub and also retain the 3.5mm auxiliary plug in the console.

I had my audio running to the sub by tapping the bose amp under the driver’s seat with an LOC. However, the eonon does not use the bose amp under the seat. So I had to find a new source. Since the eonon has RCA outputs built in, just plug in to them from that.

Also, it turns out the wire I used for the amp on wire does not work with the eonon stereo. So, I had to find a new source. I tapped pin 11 since that is a switched accessory wire.

The final thing I needed to do was the hardest. That is retain the use of my 3.5mm auxiliary plug. I might have been able to track down the wiring diagrams for this so I could hardwire it. However, I decided to do something a little different. The eonon has an auxiliary input, so I decided to use a dual mail rca to mail 3.5mm cord. I bought a 7 foot cord from radio shack.

step one is to remove the cup holders. just pull up on them and they'll come out. the second thing was to remove the part around the shifter. that'll come right out, too. if you need pictures, look up how to install shifter bushings or replace the shifter boot.

if you look under there, you'll see a white plug on the bottom of that 3.5mm female plug. pop out that entire piece as one unit with the white plug attached. once that's out, you can easily unplug the white plug.

that auxiliary port will disassemble into four pieces. in the pic, it shows 3, but the circuit board and that black piece come apart as well.

take the small piece and cut it with a saw like this. this will allow you to slide the new cord through it.

now you install the cable from inside the stereo down to the console. you can run it down the passenger side and it won't cause any problems. i ran it around the emergency brake.

finally, i bought a set of rubber grommets at the parts store. i cut a hole in that and slid it over the wire. then i slide the plastic piece i cut over the grommet. then i installed everything else. obviously, i left out the circuit. but that's it. the three plastic pieces went back together.

this is how it looks coming out of the console now.

Didn't want to resurrect an older thread, but I couldn't find any other info about wiring a sub and amp with the eonon d5102. I noticed this head unit doesn't have a dedicated subwoofer output. Which audio outs did you use? Also, you mentioned about the amp on wire. What exactly did you tap into for the amp turn on?

If this doesn't answer your question let me know and i can look harder for the answer. But, i think i covered them.

I ran RCA plus to the amp from the hu for audio.
