Not Ranked : 0 score So Thursday night Lou flashed my ecu. It was his first attempt and it was based on his understanding of the MS3 ecu. We pulled mine and he read it, disassembled it in his software and found the throttle plate tables that he modified for the MS3. Took about 30 minutes. Here's the result: This is the log I took on the way over so stock TP. We thought the DH was reading funny so I logged it again the next day with the standback. Sure enough, the throttle is better but it's still closing at 5500. I spent some time looking at it and realized that it closed very similarly to the stock TP control after 5500. That lead us to think we hadn't quite covered the appropriate portions of the TP table. Here's an excel comparison of the two DH logs We edited the table and flashed again. Here's the result: Better but still closing after 6000 rpm. One more edit and here you go: As you can see, cp-e has completely eliminated the throttle limitation. Additionally, the tables edited for the throttle plate control are untouched in both COBB's and Piasini's flashes... That's an absolute fact.

Not Ranked : 0 score I feel like it pulls much harder. Extreme is closed this weekend for racing this weekend so no dynos. I wish. I was really nervous about flooring it and holding that far but the AFRs are in the 9s. I zeroed my tune for this so I'm way rich again. I'll need to pull it back to the 12s for a fair comparison. Nevertheless, it's faster than it was pre flash when I was in the 12s.

Not Ranked : 0 score no, the only time i get bog is downlow aroun d3k rpm. If u look at the beginning of the graph, notice how timing takes a tip cause the car begins to really drop the a/f fast. I never get bogging on a gear shift. The reason its at 10.5 is because im shifting. And im back to full recirc 2, which is funny cause i was maybe .5 richer completly vta

| Thats weird.. It starts out like ballpark 12ish, than goes higher after gear change to 12.5 than dips back down below 12 on the next gear shift. Fuckin Ecu...

Not Ranked : 0 score dude ive been bitching about this for MONTHS 4th runs leaner then when u shift into it as apposed to starting in it. Also the computer has set timing per gear set a/f per gear depending on rpm as for the dip in 4th gear about 6200, that just the throttle closing, which once again changes things differently depending on what gear your in. I rode out everything till 6500, it didnt happen in 2nd, didnt happen in 3rd, a/f droped in 4th at 6200 but ran a lot leaner everywhere else, didnt happen in 5th, and believe it or not i pegged it 2 nights in 6th and it didnt happen

Not Ranked : 0 score i noticed that too it says "commanded throttle" i never logged that before. i dont know if that shows pedal position or throttle blade opening. and i have this question.... if they have this throttle control, why do i still not see 100% throttle ?? sure 80% across the board is better, but not what i want to see !

Not Ranked : 0 score You have to remember that the values in the dashhawk are scaled by a human to the tps voltage. I don't really know what the numbers mean. The stuff from the standback - which is harder to log with than the dashhawk and why I have soo many DH logs - only logs the tps voltage. That is the actual voltage. No scaling. When I plugged my DH in again after the first download it switched to metric units and must have changed that throttle variable to commanded throttle position instead of absolute TPS as it was originally. The only thing that changed with that was the numbers on the axis. Other than that the shape of the line was the same so I never changed it back. As far is the lean hump is concerned it's still there. Based on Laloosh's advice I start my runs at <3K rpm now and the hump is not as bad but it's there. That will be address in the later closed loop to open loop transition modifications that Lou is planning. For now, I'll try and tune it out with the SB as much as possible. I did a run today with a zero map and my afrs are 10.3ish. It still pulls harder than before but now I'm pulling fuel to get it back to the 12s. My car is pulling (for me) like a raped ape. I love it. Laloosh, get down here now.

| Not Ranked : 0 score dada, where in the DC metro area are you from? My family is in rockville where I grew up but I came out to the eastern shore for an IT job (backwards, I know lol)and my wife's family. I've been trying to get together w/ Pale, Loosh, SgtP, and the others for some time now. Let me know when you all do get together and hopefully something DOESN'T come up on my end.

Not Ranked : 0 score I think a dyno before and after the change is essential. I have a feeling there won't be much more to gain from the stock turbo at 6700 rpm. Perhaps 20 horses. Also please post intake air temps - they would tell us how efficiently the turbo is running.

Not Ranked : 0 score Extreme was closed last weekend for racing and they have limited days this week as they're going on vacation for the fourth. I've put a call in and said I do it any time they have available and am waiting to hear back. NO ONE wants this more than me. As far as the boost temps are concerned charles (ms6) ran a 1-2-3 at WOT to 6500 in each gear and saw about a 10-15 deg rise in boost temps with his ETS TMIC. Seems the turbo is holding up fine.

Not Ranked : 0 score Good idea. I've already put in a request for the VTCS... Lou is looking at your workaround for me until then.
