| Not Ranked : 0 score i bought new fluid. The way you take it off, its hard to catch it all. Its cheap, just do it. Just remember that when you fill it up, its going to suck it down really fast, since the lines will no longer be full. Start it, let it suck down the top off, and stop the car. Fill it back up until it stops sucking it down.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score lenny was the culprit in the donating. it was his idea and he was one of the highest donators. NOW, on to this fucking installation. FUCK THIS SHIT. the downpipe is a nice fucking piece. very high quality. it went it...shit's got hangers. it fits really nicely, and it made incredibly well. the fucking fmic was a huge bitch and pain in the ass. honestly, that was a tremendous amount of work, with replacing the radiator hose, attaching the power steering thing whatever...i'm not sure if it's worth it. the piping is ok, i like that the hot side end tank being on the driver's side of the vehicle, and i like the piping diameter. i really don't like the location of the valve, it's so close to the throttle body, wtf is up with that? leaves very option for running meth AFTER the valve. the engineering that went into the cpe fmic seems overdone. WHY THE FUCK DO I HAVE TO REPLACE A RADIATOR HOSE? WHY THE FUCK DO I HAVE TO HAVE A NEW POWER STEERING THINGY MAJIGGER? NONE OF THE OTHER KITS REQUIRE YOU TO DO THIS SHIT. this isn't worth being a fanboi, consider me out. with all of the thought cpe put into this kit regarding fitment, i still had a few problems and quirks. one problem i noticed is that the piping coming from the cold end tank hits the under tray when putting that piece back on. does anyone else have this problem? all in all, i would recommend the downpipe. i would not recommend this front mount to anyone. it was a huge pain in the ass, dirty, and frustrating. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score The radiator hose is there so you can run a cpe cai. The bov is where its at because it wont fit anywhere else on the cold pipe, unless u pull a cobb and raise the thing 6 inches. The power steering thing is a bonus, there have been reports of regular 3s overheating their power streering. With this new radiator you simply wont overheat it if your autoxing or doing aggressive driving for long periods of time Try installing the kit sober, it fits perfect |

| Not Ranked : 0 score problem is simple. what does powersteering fluid and coolant have to do with the cooling of incoming air into the engine? I hope CPE doesnt make front end brake kits cuz u might have to drop the rear seats and tailight assemblies. shit poor design, usually the best desing is the simplest one.....this one clearly a failure!!! (then again, these r the guys that tell you to drop the front bumper to install their tow plate,[btw a niece piece]but clearly someone over there is overthinking himself into a stroke. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Like i said, the coolant hose is there so you can fit a cpe cai with a cpe fmic. You got the hotpipe, the cold pipe and a 3 in intake going thorugh there. You dont like it, buy something else The tow plate says to remove the bumper so you dont fuck your shit up. You can get a lot more tq on the bolt if the bumper is removed. Would you prefer instructions with short cuts that have the potential of fucking your oem equipment up? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I buy shit that makes sense, tow plate is an example of good engineering, uses existing mounting point and is the least intrusive to anything else.(as far as torquing that shaft, please, plenty of room to do that. Makes about as much sense as pulling the motor to change plugs. and me thinks I dont need to be an expert on mexican food to tell you Taco Bell is shit, thats my R&D. By the way , I get mine custome made by Cobb........... fits without having to relocate anything.... or maybe they were just paying attention to what they were doing and isn't custom for just my car but all ms3's. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score wah, wah, wah. the first time i installed one of these it took us 3 hours. the second time, it took 2 hours start to finish. and that included a cpe cai that we had to make fit to a atp inlet. the turboxs kit included a power steering upgrade as well. i think common sense says if youre going to do it... do it right. there is no question that you all seemed to be working against yourselves. the bottom pipe will bump the tray if positioned a certain way... just reposition it. we had the same problem and 5 minutes later it was fixed. my feeling is that someone there made a comment about overengineering the second they got a little ps fluid on their clean hands and the rest of the time was spent bitching...lol |

If you want to make this thread about the comparison between Cobb and CPE... and "over"engineering and "under". Parts "working" or parts "not working"... then we can do that too. Is that what this really is all about?

| Not Ranked : 0 score fanboii to the rescue!!!! philly b bought a product that happens to be made by CPE,if he would have gotten the same deal by purchasing a different brand he would have done that as well. We were all there to see its glory.....it was like an 80 year old womans fart actually. You got a vested interest in CPE s success so you are about as objective as me in a buffet. You don't like that deal with it. We all use products that get reviewed and feedback is given to either promote the product or vent one's frustrations over the problems encountered. If you really believe that a single company is incapable of making a product here and there that doesn't meet the expectations of the customer that bought it, then sadly you've been sniffing cpe's packing tape too long. This was such a case and it happened to be witnessed by at least 8 other ms3-ms6 owners. World is full of dissapointments...sad to say. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score What am I missing here? You guys said it fits and that it's good quality. If you didn't want one with a PS cooler then why buy it? If the only other complaint is the BPV placement what are you going to do? That the only legitimate complaint I've seen and nobody else has a problem with it.. LOL

i need help with t3h power steering. please help me. i have no power steering right now. this might be as simple as adding more fluid, but i want to make sure i do it correctly. the two lines coming off of the power steering cooler...does it matter which hose goes to which line? i took the top one from the oem power steering thing and made that the top one on the cpe thing. then i did that on the bottom. soooooo...when we tried filling the power steering fluid reservoir, the pump made horrible sounds...is that just air? i tried turning it back and forth and back and forth to get rid of the air, but it seems like it was all for nought. when i was turning the wheels (mind you, the car was still jacked), it felt really loose, leading me to believe power steering wasn't in fact hooked up correctly. should i switch the lines? OR should i just try to fill the power steering reservoir and turn the wheels back and forth? please please please help

the valve's placement leaves very little option for meth unless you tap the coupler or the throttle body or the intake manifold. i wanted to tap for meth on the cold pipe after the valve.
