CPE unable to remove their locked Full Flash software from our ECU

Chris from cpe emailed me today and asked for the original receipt. now some sort of magic happened and i had it still. (pack rat style) and he said he would forward it to the right people. what ever that outcome will be is still undetermined.

man cp-e used to be on top of their game leading innovation for this platform way back in the day, IIRC they were the first ones to even make a damn way to tune these cars, then they pull this bullshit.. seriously wtf... 10 years of engineering excellence, but you broke the computer that fix's the ecu's for these cars and wont replace it. C'mon Man!!!!

Honestly, Ive dealt with CPE and Josh with his "our products don't fail" yadda yadda yadda... They have become a company I can NEVER support because really they don't even stand behind their products other then "installer error". They never reply to forum posts when you ask them outright questions.

Fuck CPE and their bullshit.

Their lifetime warranty has already been debated many times all of which show CPe is going down...slowly maybe but going down. Other companies have stepped up their game or come into the game and been able provide service and support and maintain that, CPe not so much. I guess that's what happens when you have overpriced product and try to screw your customers with your bullshit support.

Well just avoid CP-E's downpipes, catbacks, TMIC, overpriced stock turbos, etc.

They do make decent injector seals and front license place mounts.

Email steve@versatune.net or ugnius@versatune.net they can unbrick and unlock ECUs, ive bricked mine twice already, once because the car battery died because I was running the HIDs during the day and didnt see it and once because my laptop got the blue screen of death mid flash.

i have been very civil, polite and professional in my emails and use the forums to rant. dont use what i say on here as "ammo" for emails sent to me. that is very unprofessional..... thats the great thing about being a customer.... i can be a dick. but you shouldnt in return.




EDIT: after this post i did receive an email stating that a plan is in the works to solve this issue. Cpe was under the impression not many people had the flashes still and that prolly is the main reason the support went down the toilet... since this post they realize that people do have the flashes and a solution is in the works.... It is not 110% solution and may not work but they are willing to work with me to come up with something. I am not a liberty to say upfront the details of the solution but it seems legit and hopefully we can make it work and get something set in stone for others with the same issue as i have. They are willing to cover the cost of this attempt to reflash the ecu.

I would like to thank all the members of MSF that came to my aid and got this out in the light and got a solution in the works. That is the best thing about this forum vs. say 247. We are a community of enthusiast that strive to make the platform better. and when people get behind you things will happen. I prolly couldn’t have got cpe to get in gear this fast on my own so i truily do thank each and every one. (i duno how to tag folks) @Haltech;, @Steve@VersaTune;, @Raider;, @06Speed6; and whoever else

I will keep this up to date and continue the bashing latter if this attempt fails hahaha

Do you think CPe cares? Honestly... they say they do, but its on their FUCKED UP terms. I say fucked up because that's exactly what it is.

Does it seem like I have the CPe hateraide, I do.. after having to deal with them with my exhaust on my gen1 and my RMM on my gen1.
