| Not Ranked : 0 score I think anyone who is going to get the flash is not going to have an otherwise stock car. Why that is such a sticking point with some people is beyond me? You've shown that for less than $500(the cost of the flash and a cheap boost controller) an other wise stock CX-7 will pick up over 30ft-lbs of torque. Good work Cp-e, that's a huge improvement.. I wonder how much power you could have made if you actually tuned the car with the standback?

| Not Ranked : 0 score Nice gains with the FC Flash... I own an AP and love it. I also own a CPE-CAI and loved it when it was on the car. I'm looking forward to CPE's suspension stuff and will most likely buy the CPE MM. CPE is win. Cobb is win. Everyone stop bitching about gains, dynos, flashes, SBs, APs, apples to kumquats comparisons and all that nonsense...go get in your cars, take a drive and enjoy it without worrying about all this crap FFS.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Why are so many in the CP-E crowd taking so much offense to anyone asking about the power improvements this flash would make on a stock car? I don't find the vehicle used to be very representative of "stock." There's a significant difference between the SB only dyno and the few 100% completely stock CX7 dyno's I've seen. Maybe I've only seen the worst case scenario. If anyone can provide any stock CX7 dyno results that are close to the SB only run posted here, I'd be happy to see them. I do think it's just a little bit absurd to say the gains would be the same and the total amount of power would be different, that's borderline ricer math right there. But other than just to have the data, what's the big deal with showing gains on an otherwise stock vehicle? How many people out there are actually going to make this their first or only mod? Sending off the ECU is a huge undertaking for most noob owners, and just from an ease of install/use/uninstall I think they'd be more likely to get an AP as an only mod. And how many people would even do an AP only? From the dynos we have seen, you can make a rough guestimate about the improvement the flash makes on a stock car. It's reasonable to say that just about anyone that gets this flash will already be at least lightly modded, and the potential gains have been shown.

I think people are misunderstanding the issue here. No one has any problems with people asking questions. In fact, we included the Standback on the run because we wanted to come back with the datalogs to discuss them. We want to talk about this stuff, which is why I'm posting it. The problem, is that people are drawing these wacko conclusions about how the results we got are useless because the Standback was attached to the car...WHAT?! It just reminds me of the arguments we encountered when we first released the FCF. My argument is that maybe if people stopped jumping to conlcusions, we could discuss the datalogs and have a great, worthwhile conversation. By the way, here's a stock CX7 dyno that was AWD. The CX7 we dynod was FWD. Pretty close to our numbers with the Standback, eh?

| Not Ranked : 0 score So you stoped your testing in 3rd gear ? Third gear: Stock+SB (~185) FCF+SB (~210) So CPE is saying that FCF yeilds ~25hp in 3rd on a FWD CX7 ???

| What gear? I remember something about you guys saying that it wasn't a good dyno because you couldn't get the AWD to function as you would have liked. |

You asked this question three times and on two different messageboards. Yes, we stopped testing in third gear. There's too much load on the car for too long in the higher gears.
That's true, but the numbers we ended up with were consistent, and they're more or less inline with what we got from our most recent testing.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Regardless of all this bickering back and forth, this sounds like a worthwhile mod. Anyone who has driven a CX7 knows how lathargic it is. BTW, I hate you CP-E. Now I need to figure out how to get $800 for flashes for both vehicles in the future.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I guess next time you'll be using a dashhawk to datalog uh CP-E? LOL In my mind, it's apples to apples comparison and the gains are there. The ONLY thing in question is whether the gains would be similar or not if the SB was not on the car.

Best argument so far. Hopefully none of this discourages you from posting around here.

| Well where are the datalogs? I Just think it's odd AWD has almost no drivetrain loss over FWD. (both have 192wtq) |
