Just pulled out my CP-E DP while doing the Bug Turbo install. Cracked at the weld at the flange and some dipshit welded the O2 bung of center of the hole drilled in the pipe. Pretty pissed cause I'm not the original owner so no warranty

I agree with what @kritz; said on page 2.

If the OP had first contacted CP-e and been taken care of, this thread may have been titled "awesome customer service" rather than disappointed with the DP. (sidekick I am not bashing what you did at all).

Depending on whether we decide to bitch about it on MSF or contact them directly very strongly determines how their image is seen. As humans, we tend to bash more than we make threads about the good things we experienced.

I was the OP of the SURE halos thread so I understand this concept very well, now. However, in that case, I had proof that all halos were failing so I made the thread for the community to know and remove their leaking seals, not bash SURE. The way SURE handled it determined their fate.

OP, I am glad that CP-e took care of you.

I know you're not bashing, but I just wanted to make it clear that I had sent them an email and I didn't receive a reply until after I posted this. I saw cpe online here, so I posted it and tagged them. I suppose a PM would have worked as well, but either way, this gave CP-E a chance to show everyone that they will stand behind their products and manufacturing.

I got the new downpipe last week. The welds are much better, still a few questionable spots, but I'll live with it.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to get anyone at CP-E to respond about whether or not ceramic coating will void the warranty or not. I tried emailing them and PMing them here. @www.cp-e.com;

Phone calls work best. Why don't people use a damn phone to make calls anymore??? You'll get a quick answer, without all the waiting....just saying.

You're right, but I spend all of their work hours either at work or school... It is much easier for me to email them.

Phone calls > anything else other than personal visits. It's becoming more apparent that a lot of people here don't understand that. I see so many people bitching about vendors not answering PM's or emails and how they're pieces of shit and I won't buy from them anymore blah blah blah. Not saying you think that OP, although the DP quality would have turned me off big time, but still......when you're at work i'm sure you take a lunch break of a moment to go pee right? Take 5-10 minutes of your time and call them. It's not hard.

Guys, I understand that phone calls work best, but its getting to the end of tax season and I work at a tax firm... People don't take to kindly to me making personal calls on work hours.

Regardless, as a business, I shouldn't have to call to get an answer to such a simple question. Why even bother having an email account if you're not going to reply to customers?

Again though, this thread was meant to reach out to CP-E, I really am not looking for opinions on how I should go about contacting them. Thanks anyways though.

EDIT: Have a few minutes to call them right now anddddd... they didn't answer.

I'm not trying to call CP-E out or anything here, I'm just looking for an answer on that warranty question.

Also keep in mind that their presence on MSF is almost non existent. For reasons which then older members will remember. Something along the lines of customer service.

I emailed them about fixing a RMM on Saturday and they replied Monday. I guess you have to be offering your $ to get a response.

I turned in a worn motor mount for warranty worked and they took care of it right away.
