Stg1 doesn't sound like a bad deal. It will basically be $3k for a new engine after the core is refunded or what?

or you can buy a short block with all that shit in it for 3k and keep your stock block to sell for 1k instead of giving it away.

I was quoted $2k+ for parts alone w/out assembly and machine work hence my question.

Having all the work done on the short block so it can be attached to the rest for $3k would be much somewhat the same or cheaper than bringing your engine to the closest shop and ordering all the parts. Gotta think possible machine work ($500-$1k) as well, if needed.

I agree, the Stage I seems to be somewhat reasonable. The others are really pushing their limits. Only if you race, would I consider those two options.

For that kind of money I expected better rods than basic K1s.

They're like Eagles... Break seldom, but if you're going to spend the money, do it right and do it once with better parts.

We are reviewing options to avoid the core charge.. while the process of getting a motor for you will be slower - the up front cost of it will be lower.

The idea was that you order a block and we ship one out to you.. holding the 3k until we get your block in..

Turn around time is minimal..

Otherwise once you order the motor. We will be waiting on getting yours, process it and ship it back out once its done.

But stay tuned for an update regarding the core charge. THere will be an announcement.
