it also why the new direct injection bmws are adding frigging piggybacks, that only raise boost on the twin turbo setup....and then cranking out over 400 whp!!!

i think the philosophy is an interesting one but not accurate. the limitations have more to do with quirky mazda engineering in the ecu, in the sensors, weak rods necessitating a built motor, in the flow design of the head perhaps.

but the bottom end is just displacement. if i can fill it with air, spark and fuel then power can be made. its all the other bullshit thats stood in our way. I REALLY expect a breakthrough moment for us here. VWs were stuck down around us for years and then when they figured out a fueling solution to go along with the tuning..... boom... they made 600whp. I am hoping for a similar experience with our cars here. if we make power up to the limit of the fuel... i think we could see 450-500whp spraying meth. thats what im hoping for here guys.

Be very careful of aiming for 12-12.5:1 if you are using a lot of methanol.

Stoichiometric air-fuel ratio for methanol is about 6.4:1.

If you are running significant amounts of methanol you need to aim for a lower total AFR to keep from going lean.

For example if you are supplying 30% of your total fueling with Meth you need to aim for something closer to:

12*0.7 + 6.4*0.3 = 10.3 AFR.

Nervous thinking about all the work that needs to be completed this weekend. I'm sure were going to make some good power with that 35r...I cannot imagine you will not hit a strong number. Thank you who ever said watch leaning the car out with Meth..I've been saying that for over a year now.
