Default CF mustache

after spending a few hours detailing the exterior, i just couldn't look at the faded plastic mustache any more. i want to go with black brushed metallic but i didn't have any scraps large enough, plus the texture of the rock dings will show through the material. so i grabbed some carbon fiber scrap and it hides the dings a little better. hopefully its small enough not to be ricey. i'm not a huge fan of the CF because it's so overly played out, but it will do until i either buy a new 'stache or pull and sand out the old one to replace it with black brushed metallic.

It still has the holes from the license plate. I would have plugged/repaired them before wrapping everything.

the front plate went back on, so i'm not worried about those holes. i wish oregon didn't require two plates.

i do clear bra and vinyl graphics for work, the CF was just some scrap from a mini countryman that got racing stripes a few weeks ago.

that CF plasti dip is interesting. i'm just not a huge fan of CF unless it is real CF. though i do like the sheen and the texture of CF vinyl, it is still fake CF. regular plasti dip would be a good solution to the discoloration but i like the texture and sheen of some of the vinyls, just like putting matte black on a glossy car makes a texture change. black brushed i think will look really nice once i get the 'stache cleaned up. here is the black brushed in stripes i did on a mini cooper JCW:
