(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  2008 MS3 w/ 17x7.5 DR34 Gunmetal I got sick of the constant jarring with my coilovers and the stock 18s. Also, the number of tires available in stock size has decreased a lot with less cars on the road. 17s are a LOT smoother, cheaper and more options. The down side is the naturally expected sidewall roll/loss of cornering, but for me definitely worth it for a daily driver. Tires I went with are Yokohama YK740 GTX in 215/50-R17.
