(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  New tires on RX-8 wheel Hi ! I only have 4/32 on my current Bridgestone RE760 Sport 225/40/R18... must I change it during this summer ??? I will drive maybe 8000-10000km more before next winter. With my currently setup ... RX-8 wheel + eibach pro kit + eibach pro spacer 10mm can I put 235/40/R18 easily without any rubbing ? I want the much larger setup possible without any rubbing thanks for your help

| Not Ranked : 0 score Don't know much about Speed3s but one thing I can tell you is the tire makes all of the difference in the world. Some tires are known for having rounder sidewalls and some tires have very square sidewalls. I ran 235/40R18 Continental DWS on 8.5 wheels with +37mm offset without issue. Then, I tried to run a 235/40R18 Toyo Proxes Plus 4 on 8" wheel with +38mm offset and it rubbed like crazy even with a full roll. | Not Ranked : 0 score 2/32nd (or 1/16) is generally considered the end of tire tread life. At 4/32 you still have some time. Most tires have wear bars molded into the tread. | If its a decent price difference in tires, I wouldn't think it would be a significant enough difference in ride to justify the price.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score 31$ by tire I'm a stage 2 - 94 octane - Stratified during summer I just want tires that can keep with the torque ... so I know Michelin Pilot Super Sport will help versus my old Bridgestone RE760 Sport but I want to know if it's money well spending to go larger like 235/40/R18 or maybe 245/35/R18 versus 225/40/R18 or no really a gain versus the stock form for my wheel 225/40/R18 ...

| I certainly do not think they are worth an extra 125 dollars. I don't know how sticky the Michelins are, but the Continentals DWs (not DWS) grab really well for me on E85. And I'm making way more power and torque than any OTS map. You want a tire with a soft sidewall. The michelins are probably decently soft, but I would definitely not get a tire like the Bridgestone, or Dunlop, or Hankook. Lots of guys have the DWs and they hook pretty fucking well for being an 18 inch street tire. Very soft sidewall, but still handle pretty well. Best all around tire IMO.

Do you think I can fit the 245/35/R18 without a problem if I have 10mm spacer all around and my rear fender is already rolled and lightly push ??? Thanks for your help My last setup was a 235/40/R18 Bridgestone RE760 SPORT ...
