Default right base map for me

im getting an ap in the next week and was wondering what would be a good base tune to tune from. i found a tune that has all the same mods i have( sf intake, upgraded tmic, turboback exhaust) but it sais requires a high flow cat and stock bov. i have no cat and a turbosmart bov. would this be a good tune to start from or should i just start with a 93 octane tune or something?

Logic would say start with a basemap as close to your spec as possible and use it as a jumping point. Each car (even with the same mods) will run different and may require different degrees of tuning.

If you want to do it right, load a basemap that's close, and take it directly to a tuner and have it dialed in. You'll be happy with the results leaving it in the hands of an expert.

Thats a decent maps to start with. You may have to "detune" the v106sf103+tmic abit to accomodate the blow off valve and catless downpipe. I am guessing that your gonna need to reduce the load targets a bit (for the catless) and maybe reduce WGDC to reduce boost spike (for the bov)

i'm working on Stage2 +SF 91 v106 right now with roughly the same mods as you (minus TMIC). if your car is reacting similar to mine (21psi and 13:1 at WOT) i would suggest adding fuel (target 10:1) drop your load down to 1.4ish and drop the WCDC by 10%. this should get you roughly into a "safe" area to start tuning back up. i also use 94 octane on a 91 map, and i havent seen any knock yet.

*i am not a tuning expert in any way/shape/form. i have been using ATR for 2 weeks, and i am doing so at my own risk. if you follow my suggestions you are doing so at your own risk. its your responsibity to know what your doing and not blow up your car*
