Windows 8.1 Support

Is 8.1 Support even on the horizon? I just picked up a new 8.1 device that i want to use to replace my old tuning laptop. The GT-R, Evo,N54, and Subaru ATR's have all been updated with support 8.1 months ago.

Subaru : 11/25
Evo : 11/26
GT-R : 11/21
N54 : 12/05

Very curious as well when this will happen. I had to downgrade to 8.0 to use it...

Why not just run a partition with a working version? I know it's not the answer your looking for, but it's an easy solution.

i don't want to have to do that. i want cobb to come out and actually give us some form of update. Our atr hasn't been updated since September and that update was just a update for the v3 launch. The last major update we got to atr was 12/18/12 when they added the load target comp and vvt comp beta tables.

I agree, I have the surface pro 2 and it has windows 8.1 (not the RT) I requested the software for ATR and attempted to install it. No dice, Called Cobb and talked to Kyle..... needless to say he was like there is something you are doing wrong. I didn't want to get into an argument about the fact that I am a software dev and I kinda know my way around a comp. The manager tool opens and works just fine on 8.1 but I can't even get ATR to connect to the AP. I tried their work-though on the site.... no dice. I would like to talk to someone that knows something.

How can it be something you're doing wrong when it clearly states that 8.1 is NOT supported on the Cobb site... lol

i had the issue a while ago. took 3 weeks of emails for someone to get back to me and say 8.1 is currently NOT supported for ATR. Access Manager is fine (now). Don't remember who it was but they said 1st quarter ETA

In the meantime, vmware workstation with windows 7 for me.

I was able to get it working enough to make adjustments to my map. I essentially had to unzip and install the software by hand. I am not sure it will work with live data logging or flashing of maps but at least it gives me the ability to make changes and then save them to my computer

bumping this since ford's atr just got a updated with windows 8.1 support and on the fly map switching with 5 maps using the cruise control buttons. we are the only platform for cobb that has yet to see a update.

guess cobb dont care about us any more since the speed 3 is no longer in production, so they are in no rush to give us the much needed updates that we really really need.

This thread can now be closed cobb released 8.1 support today =D. Now i just have to re request atr.

I just opened up ATR and it prompted to update to the newest version, no re-request to Cobb needed.

you have to request atr to install on a machine that has 8.1 pre installled.......before the update yesterday you couldn't install atr on a 8.1 machine.

8.1 Support has been finalized and released. Sorry for not responding sooner. Been crazy trying to get our Fiesta ST back together to head off to the Toronto Auto Show.

Nice i'm just happy i can now use atr on my new tablet =D using atr with a touch interface has been pretty cool so far.
